Hi I have invasive lobular breast cancer . ErPr+Her- About 4 weeks ago, Had right mastectomy and all nodes removed as one node biopsied with cancer. Turned out 3 nodes had cancer so now I’m awaiting results of nuclear bone scan and ct scan to see if it spread. I had a tissue expander inserted . All wounds had heeled but now have a pink warm patch above my tissue expander. Grade 2

Waiting is the worst thing ever; but please don’t worry… 3 nodes doesn’t at all mean it spread. (I had three affected nodes and was fine for 13 years) It’s normal to have scan to make sure.
Hi! I had 6 positive nodes in 2006. Decided not to have expanders due to sensitivity issues. Take heart, give yourself time to heal and we’ll be sending lots of positive thoughts your way as you wait for results.
me too… I had 1 pos node for invasive lobular cancer and no further spread for 16 years… of course not everyone has their cancer return. And if you are found to be De novo meaning metastatic at first dx, those folks seem to do really well with very long outcomes… 10+ years. My advice is to try not to succumb to panic and you do this by trusting your team to guide you… plus I bet a serious lot of love is coming your way from family and friends who will be there for you!
I went up to my breast cancer centre At Altnagelvin today and they removed 100 ml of liquid so that it’s not as tight swollen and Mr Diggin gave me a prescription for antibiotic as heat and pink skin on breast. Meanwhile I sort of pleaded with him that I need some news so he says scans will be assessed on Thursday and he gave me an appointment for 12 Friday . Hooray I see a light. 😊
Will be praying that it hasn’t spread and that you don’t have to join the club no one wants to join, living with MBC. If it has spread know that you will have great support and a place to get great advice and tips for dealing with med side effects, info on latest trials, comforting thoughts through tough times. I was diagnosed 4 years ago next month with MBC after being in remission for 7 years from my orig. bc. It can really take all the wind out of your sails. This site has been a Godsend as we share this journey together.
26/10/24 My my bone scan was all clear but CT scan found a lump on liver which may be benign thingy. I have to get MRI scan of liver to check it’s not threatening . Feel it’s all good news as liver can often have random growths
