My mom is set to start enhertu next week . But we did do a blood liquid biopsy and found out she has the esr1 mutation. Her oncologist still would like to go forward with Enhertu and put the orserdu in our back pocket for later.
Any thoughts or advice ? Thanks ❤️

Hello Flower1513, so far I don't have any mutations and I did have a FoundationOne liquid biopsy but I have not heard anything from my oncologist yet about it. Did your mom's oncologist explain why Enhertu first? I would ask her why on your mom's behalf. Hugs 🤗 Alicia
I was given both of these options in my current need to switch drugs too. I think enhertu works faster, and maybe has a higher success rate too. A couple of doctors agreed Enhertu to try first so that's what I think I'll be doing
Yes, mom went forward with Enhertu. She will receive her 3rd dose this week. So far so good. She’s feeling pretty good over all. Her oncologist didn’t have a ton of confidence in orserdu at this time and said she would put it in her pocket for a later time . She sees good results with Enhertu. But I’ve read where people have got a good amount of time on orserdu . We really trust her oncologist and while my mother would have loved another pill option before iv chemo. She went with what her oncologist felt best about. No scans yet….. I think she will have them this month. I hope this helped and you guys make the right decision .
Yes! For sure. She will have 2 more treatments before scans. But her tumor markers have dropped over 200 points since treatment started. Just found out today.
