Verzenio and Letrazole

I just started a Verzenio in May. Has anyone been on these two meds for more then a few years? If do how are you doing on them?

I have only been on them since last September. I’m on 100 mg twice a day. I just recently tried 150mg, but had to go back to the 100. Side effects were too bad. I was on Ibrance before and it was easier than Verzenio. I’m more tired now and have occasional diarrhea. I watch more closely what causes the diarrhea and don’t eat those things anymore. I thought the fatigue on Ibrance was bad, but this is worse. I feel much more like a vegetable than I did before. Good luck to you!

I have been on Letrazole since last middle of last year, then Verzenio starting Jan 1 of this year. (100 x twice a day) Diarrhea has been brutal and I hate being so tired all the time. Like I have about 4-5 hours a day that I feel useful. I used to be an energizer bunny before all this, so it really messes with my head to be so exhausted and non fuctional. I did choose to give up alcohol because I am truly afraid of long term issues with my organs because of the drugs. I have not seen any studies on long term side effects honestly - It sucks that sometimes helping with one issue a drug can cause other issues. I figure I need to try and do what I can to not exacerbate things. UGH - I so miss my cocktails and or wine! I also have limited my sugar , red meat and dairy consumption because people say its what the cancer feeds off of. I try not to give the C much attention in my life ( hard to do with alarms set daily on my phone for pills though.!) And getting bloodwork every month is stressful especially having the 27.29 marker shoot up. This can REALLY mess with your head. I just got another highly elevated result this week- but I am trying not to think about it and pray its just a false finding. I am thankful for a head full of hair ( I attribute that to the all natural shampoo and conditioner I have been using since before chemo - its by a company calle Earthling.co - HIGHLY recommend it)

I have IDLC cancer and have been on Letrozole for 7 months without too many side issues as for Verzenio started on 150 mg which lasted almost 2 months but had too be stopped as my ALT went over 500 after 18 days off and liver function dropping below 120 max allowed I went onto 100 mg after 10 days blood test showed ALT over 120 and that was stopped I have been off for 21 days and ALT is down to below 60 so I am waiting for prescription to start at 50 mg. my bloods will now be checked every 2 weeks and hopefully my liver will stay within range. My main side effect is lack of get up and go my brain and body nolonger working in sync. I am being mindful of my eating and drinking (alcohol reduced to weekends) minimun drinks with sweeteners (all types) wishing you well
