Hello, I am going for a pet scan on Thursday because the cat scan found small and numerous lesions . Has anyone gone through this and showed benign.

I want to wish you good luck with your scan. Hopefully you will get good results.

According to the Internet, "PET/CT scans provide significantly more information than CT scans, and are far more reliable when diagnosing cancer. The reality is that you cannot rely on a CT scan (or ultrasound, MRI, or blood test) to tell you if you have cancer. It is only with a PET/CT scan that you will know for sure."

I don't know how likely it is, but the above suggests that it is possible your PET will explain your lesions as something other than cancer. I too wish you good luck. Please let us know what you learn. Cheers, Cindy
