Happy to share my CT scan result after 14 months of Ibrance and Letrozole medications. This is the first time that they can no longer detect in my liver, lungs, and some areas in my sternum. My MRI also showed stable and more improved backbone healing after my radiation 14months ago as well. It feels surreal or maybe I am too numb to feel anything now after 4 major surgeries in a year and giving up my job to lessen my stress in life. Thanks to my creator and hopefully it will be in this stage longer enough for me to concentrate living with lesser anxiety. I pray that we ladies suffering with this chronic disease can live a life that is acceptable for us to perform our duties. Despite of all, I am thankful and wish everyone here a blessed days to come.

Undetectable cancer lesions after 14months of Ibrance and Letrozole
Hi Jona,
That is wonderful news! You must be so happy to hear how well you are responding to treatment. I hope that you continue to do well and can achieve NED (if you have not already done so!)
Have a great weekend!
Sophie ❤
I should be happy but I still cannot rejoice because nothing changed on my medication side effects. I’ve been telling myself I must celebrate and be joyful but I still can’t feel it. I guess I am too numb since my diagnosis of stage 1V BC. I enrolled to a fitness center recently, hopefully I can shake off those anxieties. Thanks SophSP
I can understand how you feel, Jona. It took about three months or so after I started treatment for the side effects to go away. I know it's different for us all. During that time I didn't feel good about things either. Not only do we have to get our heads around the fact we have breast cancer. We also have to process the news that we are dealing with metastatic disease and we will be in treatment for the rest of our lives. That's a lot to cope with. Had my disease been early stage I would be finished with treatment by now. I even had the date marked in my phone.
I hope that the exercise helps. Did you ask your oncologist if it is safe to take part? You don't want to overdo things and injure yourself. You might also want to look into some physiotherapy and complementary therapy. I did both and it made a big difference. I haven't had a chance to workout much this week, as I've been so busy, but when I started last November I did so gradually. I started with three 15-minute workouts a week and then built up. Now I workout for 3-5 times a week for 30 minutes, and I walk a lot too.
Sophie ❤
Yes I asked permission from my oncologist as I am worried about my backbone met. I did physiotherapy as well last year. I am having some electric shocks at my back once in a while but my MRI scan showed stable met so my onco said nothing to worry and it could be just irritated nerve near the cancer lesion. For now I am more at peace I could say.❤️
That's good. If that electric shock sensation continues I would mention it again and see if something can be done to ease the pain. ❤
That is great news.
Dear Jona: Very happy to hear your good news! Praying you are NED for a very long time & you can embrace & enjoy the moments ❤️🙏❤️🌈!!!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!
I must echo your gratitude for the blessings of knowledge applied through medicine on our behalf and indeed hope we can be usefully productive through the rest of our extended days!
Wow, that’s amazing news , good for you. I hope God and the doctors can keep your health going in this direction . God bless you and give you all of the best x
I’m so glad the meds are working for you as we all await a cure. Celebrate! 💃

All the best to you,

Great news on the results, I’m delighted for you , Anne
Congratulations. I hope you can start to feel even better with the exercise.
Congrats! 🎊 when I got my first clear scan after 3 years of this in May I was like in shock...did they miss something? 🤷♀️... so enjoy a little peace in this roller coaster ride...I talked my Onc into a 6 month scan afterwards. Not scanning again till first week of December...😀
I am so happy for you after all you have been through! May your great results last a long time and may you experience more improvement in the scans to come!
Love,
Marianne
YAY! Very nice to hear some good news and yours IS GREAT! Try listening to the Hillsong Channel, if not on tv then I think you can get it online, very uplifting Christian programming out of Australia! If you are in the US, I'm told stage 4 gets you SS disability no questions asked; working has to be so hard with this beast, and I had to throw that out there just in case you don't know. God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen!
I hope that is the case bc I am in the US & just filed on the 16th. I decided to after the side of effects of Ibrance/Falsodex. I can't do what I used to. I am so drained & mentally breaking down. Ugh!😢
that's why I had to retire at 55 with way less money than I would have gotten waiting just a few more years, I was drained and tired and just thought it was the stress of the job with no idea I had cancer, or that I could have gotten disability, but God got us through financially so I praise Him for that! Hope you hear something soon, also heard SSI doesn't take long to go through with a stage 4 diagnosis ... hope that rumor is true ... God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen!
I’m in Canada still thinking to get provincial disability program from Ontario...we’ll see how it goes. So far, God provides🙏
This is wonderful news! So happy for you. 🙌
I was NED after 14 months of Ibrance and Faslodex. At that point I quit the Ibrance due to extremely low WBC. Now I’m just on Faslodex.
Here’s hoping we stay here for a very long time.
Keep us posted pls! I want to ask my onco if I can do that, stopping Ibrance bec I get too dry and low WBC as well. But low WBC he said means the drug works, then I insisted for longer rest period of 2-3wks off the Ibrance instead of 1week. There’s also a study that you can stop ibrance for a couple of months then it will work better once you get back on it. Thanks for your info❤️
I had dropped to 100 mg. My white count was at 990 for two rounds, then 660. He agreed it was ok to stop, but if things changed, I might have to try it again. I got every side effect and then some. I’ve been off since April and my scans and markers are still very good.
Hugs to everyone ❤️❤️❤️
GOD BLESS YOU, JONA!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Your happy post made my day!! Such wonderful news!!
