does anyone have experience with necrosis in the brain due to extensive radiation at the tumor sites? I was fine for a little over a year until the necrosis developed and then I lost my peripheral vision on the right side. The treatment for this necrosis is to go on steroids to help reduce the inflammation and then to follow up with multiple MRIs to see if the necrosis is becoming less. Not having vision clarity has been a real challenge for me and it’s been going on since late April. I may need a secondary surgery but we’re waiting to find out if that is possible.

necrosis due to radiation
Dear IzzyZorro
I am very thankful that I have no experience with this and am so sorry that you are experiencing such a thing. My heart goes out to you and I am very glad that there is a plan for going forward and resolving this. The one thing that I can do is pray for you if you want that. Please let me know.
I too have some small areas of necrosis. No issues at present. This may be of some help...
I take an inflammation lowering drink before bedtime which really helps with my arthritis. It consists of q tsp Manuka honey half tsp paprika, half tsp cinnamon with dash of black pepper. All mixed in a tumbler of hot water. It works. Worth a try?

So sorry you're going thru this!
I, too, am sorry that you are expeiencing this loss of your peripheral vision. Do let us know whether the steroids help. What sort of surgery might be useful?
