I’ve been on Piqray since December of last year - 12/2021 and scans have been stable.
My onc said next in line would be Enhertu but with having only one true functioning lung ( my right lung is trapped due to a botched mastectomy and radiation from 2019), I’m nervous about going through IV chemo again given the side effects of lung inflammation and such.
ladies that have been on Piqray, what are alternative drugs?
Thank you in advance !

I had to stop Piqray in April because it was causing kidney damage. I have been doing monthly Faslodex injections, and my numbers have been good. After a few denials and appeals, I am having a Pet Scan on October 12th. I will meet with my Oncologist on the 14th for next steps. I'll let you know.
I don’t know… I’m Italy it’s not so… I talked about this treatment with my onc two months ago, but then my biopsy showed I remain Hr+ Her2 0. Let’s see if someone else can help 🤔
Hi: I am not sure if Piqray is compatible with Verzenio. I am on 10g.0mgs. twice a day with Tamoxifen 5mgs. It has been studied and found that it is just as effective at the lowest dose.
Hope this helps. Verzenio is apparently, a sister drug to Ibrance.
Yes, Enhertu (Fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki) is a chemo drug (chemotherapy) and it is also a targeted therapy anti-cancer drug. Enhertu fights cancer in two ways: the antibody (trastuzumab) part is designed to find and attach to the HER2 receptor on cancer cells.
I was on Xeloda before the Piqray. Except for the hand and foot syndrome, it worked well for me. After the Piqray, I went on IV Taxol. After 12 weeks, my tumor markers had not moved. Now I am on Exemestane. After a couple of months, the tumor markers have not moved. Doc wants me to try Afinitor with the Exemestane but I don't care for the side effects.
I am not sure where you go from here but many blessings for a good journey.
