Nausea no more!

I’m writing to let you know works great for me. I’m currently enrolled in a clinical trial at Dana Farber. I was experiencing terrible nausea on most days. My husband noticed that on the days I took my Xyzal (an allergy pill) I was actually fine. I now take it everyday and I’m okay. My Oncologist was surprised and told me he would recommend that to his patients. Hoping this works for some people.

Wow that’s excellent news! What gives you the nausea? I get relentless nausea from the Enhertu IV that lasts for up to 2 weeks per month, and the Zofran didn’t help so I was prescribed Ativan. It also has drug side effects, and makes me tired and dizzy so I don’t like taking it. This would be great news for many of us I’m sure.

The nausea is due to the fulverstrant pills I’m taking per this clinical trial. Currently, you can only get this drug through injections in your behind. The pill is much better. Zofran and Ativan didn’t work for me either. Give Xyzal a shot. Praying it works for you!

Well done for taking part in this trial, I am interested to hear how you get on. I found the injections unmanageable

For the hoot of it and even though I’m no longer on chemo - it was my first line when diagnosed Stage 2 in 2019 - intake Loratine which blocks cancer pathways and is found in the classic allergy drug like Claritin. Even if you don’t have nausea or allergies it’s a great staple to add to your supplement list along with probiotics and general vitamin supplements. Here’s a link. GoodSense Allergy Relief Loratadine Tablets 10 mg, Antihistamine, Allergy from Amazon

Thank you for your info. I did try Claritin but it didn’t work for me. Xyzal is my new best friend!

I was told this too about the Claritin (or any generic ones that have the loratadine in them) having cancer blocking pathways. Also great for bone pain!

Thank you Julia! I just bought some. Hoping I can reduce my dependence on Ibuprofen for bone pain using this and block a cancer pathway too!

That's wonderful (the Xyzal, not the nausea)! I'm putting Xyzal in my toolbelt. Don't need it right now, but I most likely will one day. Very cool of your husband to pick up on that.
