Hi Kiera,

I have not experienced nausea after eating pineapple or berries. Perhaps you are allergic to either the pineapple or the berries. I would mention this to your oncologist to see what could be causing the nausea. In the meantime, I would probably lay off the pineapple and berries until you know what's going on and try eating different fruits that you know you are able to tolerate.

Thanks I have always been able to eat them before, perhaps it was because my taste buds aren't what they used to be

What kind of sick do you feel Kiera? I can’t eat pineapple that has not been naturally ripened. Every time I go to Bali or Thailand, I can eat as mouth as I want. But if I heat it here in Australia I get a feeling like I’ve got diverticulitis. Is this what you mean? I am doubled over in pain.

I’ve been told by a doc, its not exactly an allergic reaction, so much as a sensitivity to it.

Much good luck with Ibrance, experienced almost no side effects except for fatigue..that was manageable. I was told to avoid grapefruits or grapefruit juice etc while on Ibrance and remember reading about avoiding eatijng pommegranits and pommegranit juice .

Thank you been on ibrance since feb and haven't had any major side effects apart from taste but that's ok I heard about no grapefruit and pomegranate luckily don't like either of them. All the best to you

Maybe too much to soon ? Digestive system needs time to adjust ? A flu bug ?

I would maybe try the berries first and then add pineapple later . I would think the berries would be easier on the stomach . These are only suggestions I find it difficult to eat may fruits also .

Kiera,

I too am on Ibrance -- dosage round 18 or 20... I take it in the am after oatmeal with nuts or something with quite a bit of protein, and with lots of water/fluids. That might help somewhat. Best of luck.

Thanks I am on 125 mg dose haven't felt it since stopping pineapple so that's good. I take it after lunch and that seems to be working well with little side effects. I am epileptic also so difficult sometimes to work out which tablet is causing problems

I can't eat many fruits myself. I can eat blueberries and bananas and sometime strawberries. But like you, I have plenty of things that I liked before and couldn't stomach right now. Chinese food, anything spicy or saucy. The nausea has been bad for me this time,
