Hi am newto this post. I live in New Zealand and had a folowupmammogram but no symptoms, was on a recall list, thankfully. So it was a big surprise to be contacted for further investigations be cause of lobular invasive ca ERpositive with T5 and T7 bone metastases. I was commenced on letrozole and then ibrance in combination with no noticeable side effects apart from bloody nose and fine tremor in left arm and hair thinning. The last scan showed things are stable . I now only need three monthly blood tests so that seems Ike progress.

Welcome. I also have lobular which has now shown up in my stomach lining after 5 1/2 years on arimidex and fulvestrant. I also have ductal. My oncologist says lobular is very sneaky because it grows in strands rather than a tumor lump and that it favors the digestive system. I’m now on Ibrance and Tomoxifen and so far going well. I also have lobular and they always worry about stomach lining. I have just now had a lot of diarhea. Csn you tell me more about how they found it?

Through a stomach endoscopy. After I vomited excessively for weeks! Very easy procedure, at least for me.

Good to know. Do they put anything in your stomach to treat it? Or different therapy than works on our bones?

They switched me to Ibrance and Tamoxifen. Nothing particularly special just for the stomach.

Hi Betty, they found it on a recall mammogram followed by an MRI and nets found on nuclear medicine bone scan so was started initially on letrozole and once a mastectomy was ruled out commenced ibrance since February. I am just starting to get side effects v from it, reflux, vomiting and tremor left arm. I am abt to go on holiday to cook islands and thankfully I don't have to take ibrance while there. So far scans hv been stable and even now I have no symptoms that would send me to gp thinking something was off. I hope you are doing well.

Hi Nov44, good for you for going to Raro! I have had my trip to Nuie canceled do to Covid back in the first NZ lockdown. I’ve since sold my house on waiheke and moved to the states to be near my daughter. Where do you live in Nz?

Hi November 1944 - we're in the same generation (I'm 1947) and country. What part of NZ? I am on Ibrance (100mg) and arimidex for lobular cancer, one bone met. Been doing well for 18 months now on this, few side effects - well ones that I can put down to the drugs rather than aging!

Hi there little Mary. Ilive in North canterbury. I am sure aging also relevant but I guess better than the alternative. I hope you are keeping warm and covid free.

Hi little Mary- I sold my house on waiheke 6 months ago and returned to USA to be with family. Ibrance may have stopped… they switched me to Ibrance. I also have lobualar!

Yes, Covid free so far, although have had it in the house when my grandson brought the plague home from school. Hope you're warm too - given the snowy weather we've just seen on TV! I'm in Whanganui.
