I am sorry and sad to hear this. Let us know how you are doing. Wish you the best. ❤
Thank you very much
Oh Marina I am so sorry! Is there a plan for treating it? Does the. Xeloda you’re currently on help? Is there surgery to remove it as it’s a primary cancer?
Oh Marina I'm so sorry! But, I'm sure your onc will have a plan! Let us know please. Sending hugs!
Dear Marina, so sorry to hear your news. Please let us know how things go. Sending love & hugs xxx
I had primary endometrial cancer twelve years before having primary breast cancer. I had surgery and it turned out to be stage one. It was an easier surgery than breast cancer and required no more than surgery. I am hoping for similar results for you, while knowing that it is soo hard to deal with one more thing along with m.b.c. (((((Cureforever))))
Thank you Mary for your reply. I hope for early stage but I am shaking. How was your cancer diagnosed. Mine showed an uptake on pet ct and then thickened endometrium on ct and sono. The biopsy came back confirming that it was cancer. I have no symptoms. Did you have some? Do you have mbc?
Hi Mary. Thank you so much for your reply. I just read my biopsy and it said that it’s a cerous carcinoma which is aggressive. Pet ct did not show lymph notes. It showed thickened endometrium but I am still very scared. Please help.
It is understandable that you are scared. I receive help through SHARE and have a wonderful volunteer who helps using phone calls and/or personal emails. sharecancersupport.org/ Hopefully you will find their support helpful . To answer your questions: My endo cancer was discovered using an MRI. I had post menopausal discharge that then later developed into some bleeding. We were very scared about what stage it would be because I had been to the primary twice who did pap smears which did not (and does not) detect endometrial cancer. I was then told by a Doctor to "Ignore a little post menapausal bleeding. I was 65 yrs old. I insisted on seeing a well known gynecologist, and as over a year with symptoms had passed, we were concerned that the stage would be higher. We were surprised that it was only stage one.
As for the question if I have MBC. I am unsure. I had my gall bladder out recently and am waiting for the results of a biopsy which is standard procedure. I know cancer of the gallbladder is rare. My onco has also ordered a PET scan which is coming up. I cannot take biosphanate infusions and I have aromatase inhibitor induced muscular-skeletal symptoms and can no longer take aromosin or its equivalent. My breast cancer was aggressive so that I need to be watched. I find great support from a therapy group of five participants which keeps me grounded, and a cancer writing group, and SHARE.
I hope you can find all the support and resources you need and so rightly deserve, and that you may feel a calming grounding come to you and yours as you face this next challenge. Feeling for and with you.
Thank you Mary for your detailed message. What kind of endometrium cancer did you have? I got scared when the biopsy showed serous carcinoma which is aggressive. This was the first time the pet ct showed it. I hope it’s found early but….I did Pap smear in September. I did not know that it can reveal endometrium cancer. I thought only cervical. I am very scared. Thank you very much for your support
My grandmother was treated for endometrial cancer in the 1950's when she was in her 70's. She lived to be 102! All I know about endometrial cancer.
I do not know what type of cancer it was other than endometrial. I think it was stage one but aggressive. I am ten years free. Perhaps, you might get more helpful information and support from SHARE sharecancersupport.org/ which has specific support people and groups which deal with uterine cancer. Endometrial cancer is sometimes called uterine cancer . Since it was my first time around with cancer I was very scared. I feel for you in your scaredness. I get it. In addition to SHARE , I found that the American Cancer Society's hot line helped me once with trepidation: Contact Phone 800.227.2345 Their information page on endometrial cancer is:cancer.org/cancer/endometri...
Hoping these resources help as well as the care for you that is here.
Thank you Mary for all your support and information. How do you know that it was aggressive. You do not remember how was it called? You said that you lived with it for about a year while it was bleeding. Mine is not bleeding. Did the ct and/or pet ct show anything or only thickened endometrium.
Sorry, I do not recall more particulars that will help you.. The references I suggested should be able to provide you with people who have gone through it and have more information. They helped me at a time when I needed it. However, I am Sending care your way and hope you find those who can assist.
