Use of alkaline water
Hi this is Stacy , well it doesn’t seem like it could hurt. But I can’t see how that could help. I am definitely going to do my research and I will get back to you on anything that I might find. You know I’m going to be buying alkaline water now. Interesting 🌹
Thankyou ,will wait for you to get back ,as per my knowledge it has various health benefits like in stomach ulcers ,arthritis, etc
hi Stacy! don't waste your money😉. btw....how is your rash doing? has it cleared up at all? sending hugs...
carole xo
Hi Carol , no it did not . Today itchy , Gave me absolutely no medication and didn’t even think calamine lotion should be used nothing. He said it’s a reaction not shingles and it needs to go away itself. I see him again Tuesday. Thank you for your concern Carol you are so nice. I’m miserable. The other thing I’m miserable about are my eyes constantly filled with water, constantly no matter what I do. I tried Claritin that seemed to make it worse I tried drops no preservative drops that didn’t do anything, washing my eyes with baby shampoo that doesn’t do anything nothing. 24 hours a day my eyes are filled with water I can’t see through them I have to drain them with a tissue in order to see. It’s hard to drive can I complain about anything else? How are you you have no complaints for me, can I help you with something ? Fondly stacy
you made me laugh. not about your misery but just your sense of humor while complaining...lol. i know he said use nothing but i'm thinking an OTC low percentage steroid cream/ointment might take some of the 'itchy's' away? it won't make it heal any faster, like he said, it has to go away on it's own. but i mean more for your own comfort. just throwing it out there.
i'm good....thanks for asking, very sweet. i promise you... when i am looking to complain, you will hear from me😉.
big hug💛
Thank you for seeing humor because I’m a person that does things in extreme , Either I laugh cracking up extremely overboard and in an embarrassing loud way, or I am crying loud and long , with a very ugly face . I’m a real ugly crier. My father used to tell me that I exaggerate my face when I cry to make it look worse. I used to try to explain to him, that’s not true which would make me so upset that I cried harder and got uglier . Since he died it’s not as ugly. It’s ugly Just not past the point of no return.🥸
in my opinion there's just not enough research a lot of the findings are "suggestive".and it *can* be harmful, nausea & vomiting being top of the list.
I just drink alot of regular water all day!
I am quite sure that this supposedly alkaline water will not do a thing! However, it is good to drink lots of water--so that will be helpful. I hope it tastes good! Our bodies keep our blood pH between 7.35 and 7.45--it is maintained at that pH level at all times. It will not matter what you drink. The stomach is very acid, a pH of 1.5 to 3.5. The water will go to the stomach first. Personally I think this "alkaline water" hype is hocus-pocus. I am a retired clinical lab scientist, and worked in medical research and development of medical diagnostics. If anyone has papers to the contrary--let me know! Best to you!
I have to agree with this assessment. pH 7.5 is barely alkaline and as soon as it hits your stomach which has a pH of 1.5-3.5, it will no longer be alkaline. I am also a retired clinical laboratory specialist that as worked on diagnostic test development and oncology clinical trials for over 20 years. I’d also be interested in seeing any scientific data that shows that this is effective.
The A and C website I trust is Annie Appleseed. They take research seriously, scientifically. The founder, Anne Fonfa posts here occasionally. I met her at one of the first BC conferences I attended, and people I knew and respected recommended her work. There is way too much spammy stuff on the internet.....
there is no scientific research that supports this - but lots of "fake news" about it
hi. just concurring with those above. without even researching, makes no sense to me. being a nurse, i too am aware that the body needs to maintain a ph of 7.35 to 7.45 to maintain homeostasis...where all is well and the body working in harmony. 7.5 is so negligible you can hardly call it 'alkaline'. but like all the others already said....as soon as that 7.5ph water hits the stomach acid...bye bye to alkalinity. just another way to make money off of desperate cancer patients??carole xo
just an add on. 7.5ph in your bloodstream would make a difference....and not a good one...but you would have to be injecting it into your bloodstream. but drinking it will have no effects. will do no harm. but no benefit either. my thoughts.
To add—I am all for complimentary support for cancer. Diet, exercise, supplements recommended by a bona fide nutritionist with oncology experience. That said everything I’ve read on alkaline water is it has no impact whatsoever. Not that it will hurt…
