Hi I’ve been drinking high protein drinks filled with fruit, Greek yogurt plain, ground flax seed, and a little oatmeal raw. I love them and they give me energy. I’ve replaced my breakfast and lunch with one ot those. Fills me til supper—— haven’t got much of an appetite anyways —- my question is. Is this enough with a healthy supper to eat with cancer?? Jane

Awesome Thank You and yes I will ask to speak to a dietician ❤️
Thank you for posting those recipes. I know how important eating is but I never eat breakfast but those sound good so it will be a good start to my dayI think. But I definitely eat lunch and dinner I did go to a dietitian at my oncologist office and they pretty much want you eating very balanced meals. Sometimes hard to do.. …. Because that means cooking but I try! Thank you again
the carb counts in these would have me napping right after I drank it...
Oh I love this! I have had real issues with weight loss since diagnosis (part anxiety, part treatment, also I have changed how I eat). Thanks for asking the question and thanks so much for sharing these recipes!
I'm off to make me a smoothie right now...
Hi Jane.I agree it’s not good long term to replace solid food .
My daughter is a dietician in UK she has worked previously on cancer wards in a London NHS hospital and maternity , now in the private sector and food development. When I first asked her which supplements to take etc she said just eat a really good fresh organic balanced diet with no supplements and see how you go and my oncologist agreed. She does not agree with Keto and many other diet plans.
Fingers xd I’m doing ok and on 125 Ibrance over a year with no side effects on my organic farm diet and I’m loving my newly found cooking skills. Had the energy to travel all over which is surely what it’s about quality of life , just back from London City today after a two day walk around the sites with my 19 year old son and kept up with him lol, so I really do back up her advice to be honest.
I will keep on with my simple cooking from scratch with fresh farm meats, veg and fruit and small amount of dairy, I have a new found love of cooking now and luckily I have a great farm near my work so can shop often.
I do have smoothies using my blendtec as even if I don’t fancy something but think I should include it, it’s great for blending to a shred combined with other things lol but no smoothies as replacements usually as a supplement to solid food. Good luck with your food planning.
Sandra and Clare if you are reading this I bought my 5th Tricia Ashley book in London, Waterstones. They have 8 miles of book shelves over 5 floors, it’s in Piccadilly Circus, amazing. Haven’t been to London City in a while forgot how worlds apart it is from my little coastal seaside hometown up North even though it’s only a 6 hour drive.
Best wishes and hugs to all

I also do smoothies every morning for breakfast but include a protein powder and a handful of kale as well as a tablespoon of peanut butter. I use Kefir (a cultured milk product that contains probiotics) and almond or oat milk instead of yogurt. The protein powder I was using is called Orgain Simple and was chocolate flavored or peanut butter flavored. It was approved by my nutritionist. I recently switched to one called Try Fit that is made from organic fruits and vegetables and grass fed whey protein. It only has 1 gram of sugar per scoop and 25 grams of protein per scoop. It is also chocolate flavored and contains some probiotics. Both of them were able to be bought on Amazon. My latest bloodwork was really good so I am thinking this combination along with the medications is working. I do eat lunch though with some type of protein and a healthy dinner also with protein. My nutritionist recommended 60 to 80 grams of protein per day for me. I was recommended to her from Florida Cancer which is the cancer center I go to. Maybe see if your doctor can recommend a nutritionist as they will have information on eating well with cancer. Best wishes to you. Sending hugs
Sister/Warrior/Thriver: Can you make an appointment to see a Dietitian, or Nutritionist . The protein shakes I make are only made when I am going to workout. I don't use them as a meal replacement. I don't add a lot of fruit, which also has a lot of sugar . I add half of a blackened banana, 1 scoop of raw oatmeal, 2 scoops of Pea protein powder, 20 fresh unsweetened cranberries or blueberries, 2 packs of crystalized lemon or lime , alkalized water, 2 pinches of salt, and to sweeten I add a few drops of stevia. I also add 2 opened capsules of Potassium, magnesium, and zinc combo capsule. You can change your fruit up by adding. a 1/4 cup mango, or tart cherries. This 16 Oz shake lasts me for 2 servings for 2 work out days, and yesssss tastes better than the McDonalds shake I drank when I was a child. Sometimes I add a scoop of my vegy/ fruit powder. I don't eat dairy, except a little butter. I eat by a Bloodtype/Body type book by Joseph Christiano . I hope this helps😇
Thanks for the feed back. Yes I am going to see a dietitian
