Has anyone tried, or read about the water smacker? My son has some coworkers who have chronic health issues including cancer that have been using this and having great results.

Barb have you studied alkaline vs acidic water ? I can say that I have read many artcles and books about this and it is not junk science. I only drink alkaline water and have done so for over three years.

I don’t subscribe to any snake oil that may come along but there is proof about having an alkaline body vs an acidic one.

Please educate yourself on the subject you may be surprised.

All the best to you

If you want to make water more alkaline add a pinch of bicarbonate

Hi, Barb, I may have overlooked to know if you have tried cannabis for

pain relief? If not, surely worth a try imho. Thinking of you hoping you

get deserved relief soon, Mary in Maine

I was in London for six months in 67 and "Pot/ grass " /smoke was

available on street. It should be still. Maybe\

a London art school student could connect you with a

source? (It promotes imagination, artists love it).

I smoked cannibis from age 26 til

I got lung cancer diagnosis, 3 months ago,

All those years it was never legal until recently,

but I never over did it, nor tried to drive a car

when stoned, Love the stuff and am seriously

considering buying edible (spare my lungs)--

but it's expensive, although with stage IV I

can legally get it here in Maine as of past 3 years,

Please give it a try,

PS I also spent summers in Tangier Morocco

from 19643 to 1972 and Kief was very available

to all at that time, so perhaps you could take

a Moroccan vacation, as well ?

Barbteeth in reply toArkait

Amsterdam is the nearest to here

I do know where I can get cannabis but have to be careful as I’m still on GDC list even though I don’t do clinical work I’m a partner and have to be on the list..they frown on illegal drugs!!!.. the stuff we take (Ibrance and letrazole) is far more harmful than a spliff!!

Definitely worth a try, Barb...It's even fun (take fanciful excursions,

as, do you like to paint or draw or write? Can really fuel imagination

and concentration.) Keep me posted,.

I saw my oncologist today and he said a "marker" was down 30%

in the past month and that that was good, It was some protein

that the cancer "makes." Do you understand that stuff? If so,

clue me in, please.

Mary in Maine

Barbteeth profile image
Barbteeth in reply toArkait

Yes the markers are an indication of presence of disease but they’re sometimes unreliable and can fluctuate..they can worry us when they go up..mine are at the moment

That’s all I know

Hi there! Where in Maine can you buy it? My sister I law lives there so we go up for holidays.

Barb it’s worth a try, I’ve tried the gummy that part CBD and part THC and it was nice.

Thanks, Lynn

As an ex-pharmaceutical researcher, my advice for anything that alters the ph of the body should be approved by one’s physician and considered carefully. Different drugs perform differently under alkaline vs. acidic environments. I believe in the power of pharmaceutical therapies and I also belive in complementary and integrative medicine. However, there can be interactions so important to discuss specifics with your physician. Hope you don’t mind me adding a perspective.

in reply toPurple60

Hi Purple,

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Whenever I have had a question about drugs or supplements, I have been able to talk to my local pharmacist or one of the hospital pharmacists where I am being treated and they are able to look into the medications I am taking and tell me whether they will interact with anything I am planning to take.

Interesting thanks for sharing your insights .

I agree with you. Even taking vitamins with some medication can alter their effectiveness.

There's a product called Kangen Water, my chiro has one in his office and swears by it. I was interested until I saw there was a tiny bottle of stuff they gave to put a few drops into the machine every now and then so I'm not sure I trust it, why there's s need to add anything. Anyway it is a Japanese product and apparently they use it in some if their hospitals so perhaps there is good in it. Kangen connects to the tap. I see the water smacker uses just a plastic bottle to hold the water while it works and reuses the same bottle over again. How unhealthy might that be?

I read that plastic bottles give off harmful chemicals.

No evidence showing alkaline water does anything for health benefit, cancer prevention or cancer treatment. You really can't turn your system into an alkaline ph and if you did, you'd die. bmjopen.bmj.com/content/6/6...

Greetings: Sister/Warrior I eat and live by a book called Bloodtype diet/Bodytype diet. Because my blood type is the highest acidic blood type that God created. I have to eat, an alkaline diet, and yes I drink alkaline water, or lemon, and lime water, with a small amount of baking soda added to every glass of water I drink. I have litmus paper to test my saliva, and or urine to gauge my proper PH levels. I exercise, and my pressure runs low genetically, so baking soda in every glass does raise my pressure enough to alleviate low pressure problems. I am an advocate for myself, and anyone else who can benefit from my research. When I know better I will do better, by putting what I have learned into action. Before I read the Bloodtype diet/Bodytype diet years ago I had horrible acid reflux. I couldn't move for at least an hour after eating a small meal. I had to sleep in a sitting position. My food was always backing up into my esophagus, and at times into my mouth. The damage to my esophagus, leaves me more likely to be diagnosed with esophageal cancer . I was eating tums like tic tacs. I was prescribed Prilosec. Because of what I know now I do not eat any food, or drink anything that is acidic, or will cause acid ash/ residue in my body. I haven't used tums in around 18 years., and have no stomach, or acid reflux issues anymore. I am a true believer in knowing that the food, and drink I consume is my medicine, with the addition of supplements, and nutrients that are void of our food source today. Some people will not make the time to research, and some are just too close minded. Remember you can try to help some people, and they are stuck in antiquated ways, and ideas. I pray that our sisters, and brothers will be open to new modalities that could possibly help them live a joy filled , and maybe a cancer free existence. Amen God bless you sister.
