Scanxiety Headaches

Hello everyone, long time I have not posted. My mom is a dyalisis patient (8 years now) and had a lung carcenoid which was removed in 2019. An unrelated tumor on her breast removed in feb 2020. Both of these never spread to lymph nodes. Her scans have been clear since then. In a week is her third yearly pet scan and my anxiety is back. She has had terrible migraines and headaches that make her want to throw up and i am so terrified. She does suffer from high blood pressure w the dyalisis and is on tamoxifen, which could be part of the problem, but my brain goes to the worst case scenario and I hate it. I am 23 and have bad anxiety, I am very scared for the next weeks and results. Hoping for the best but nonetheless I am scared. Any tips on how to calm down? I feel like I am constantly worried.

I am so sorry to hear your mum is so unwell. I found it SO stressful when my mjm was sick. I don't have a cure for scanxiety but I do know whatever happens with your mum's result her life is all the better for just having your support. Big hug to you both.
