Yesterday I saw my GP- who spoke eith me about anemia and maybe I might feel more energy if I had iron infusions. Has anyone had them and did they help? Any downsides? Thank you lovely ladies… I am going hiking and biking in Maine in a few weeks with my most fit friends snd want to enjoy it.

Any have iron infusion
Bettybuckets, talk to your oncologist before you do iron infusions. Iron and cancer Mets are no friends. Or Google some research studies on the effect of iron on cancer growth.Anja
My iron levels have been very low, verging on anaemia, making me tired and breathless. My onc said it is the treatment causing this (Letrozole and Ibrance). Suggested I take Ferrograd, a slow release iron supplement. Been taking Ferrograd for 4 months now and my iron levels have risen to normal (albeit the bottom of normal but that's so much better than where I was!). Fatigue and breathlessness have also decreased. They were not keen to do any iron infusions unless absolutely necessary.
Hello - I have had an iron infusion while on Ibrance/Faslodex. I was seriously anemic and needed a blood transfusion as well. I didn't have any side effects and felt better in a couple of weeks. I hope you feel better soon!
Have you tried b12 shots?
