Had my follow up visit today which started with doctor saying “good catch, I had missed that in your labs”. Tumor markers have been steadily going up for the last 9 months. Based on labs, it appears that cancer has moved to bone marrow or I’ve developed some other bone marrow disorder. Waiting to schedule a bone biopsy. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Cancer moved to bone marrow
I have not heard of that for breast cancer. Robin Roberts a tv host/ reporter on Good Morning America did develop a blood disorder while she was being treated for cancer. I apologize, i can't remember the details. I know it increased her recovery by many months. She has probably written a book about the experience or google her name and see what comes up. Good luck. My prayers are with you for a simple and easy resolution to this. Cancer and treatments are so complicated we need a break.
Have you had your bone biopsy yet ? Any conclusions? My tumors have also steadily gone up in the last several months . Well up in the Thousands. I'm on Xeloda for bones & liver. Bones look stable, liver reduced, but markers still go up.
Scheduled for 8/26
How did it go? Any updated that you can share?
After 5 1/2 years I’m saying good-bye to my pals Ibrance and letrozole. I now have progression to my bone marrow. I start faslodex tomorrow. Onc thinks I’ll tolerate it well. I’m a little anxious about the faslodex injections and getting a good nurse to do it. Thanks for checking in.
Did you already have bone mets? I have bone mets and various reports (I think MRIs) have mentioned the bone marrow is involved. My oncologist has never mentioned it. I'm curious to know the significance for you.
Yes, I was diagnosed de novo about 5 1/2 years ago and have had great success with Ibrance and letrozole. For the last 4-5 months, I’ve been struggling to maintain my labs, even after reduce Ibrance dose from 125 to 75 mg. In my labs last week there were nrbc cells that I hadn’t seen before, evidently there are not supposed to be in your blood but maintained in the bone marrow. Can’t get biopsy until 8/26, so much for a stat order
I was diagnosed 5 1/2 years ago too. Shitty thing to have in common! Keep us posted on this!
Greetings Sister/warrior I can't add any information, but I will pray DR. GOD will provide the treatment that will destroy the cancer that has no right to your Holy temple. Amen 🙏😇🙏
