Eye keeps watering

Hi Lovely Ladies. My eye keeps watering and I think it is because of either the Ibrance or Fulvestrant. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what do you use to help with the watering? Thanks in advance and hoping everyone is feeling well!

Hey there, I had a runny nose when I was on that combo not so much my eyes. My eyes water constantly now on Xeloda. I try to visualize all of this as the medicine helping the cancer escape my body and if it’s through my eyes then so be it.

Oh I like that perspective!

Yes, my eyes have been bothering me for 2 years-watering. Went to Optometrist yesterday. Said I have and eye infection. Sending me to Ophthamalagist. I have a huge list of side effects from Faslodex and Ibrance it's ridiculous! I will not be surprised when I am told it is caused by one of them!! I have been on both for 3 years now.

Yes my left eye more than my right. It happens more towards the ends of my Ibrance and on my week off.

I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for 4 1/2 years and my eyes started watering a couple of years ago. I’ve tried everything. Eye doctor said it’s due to dry eyes. I’ve tried ointments, drops, had plugs put in my eyes and nothing has worked. But if that the worst side effects I have I can’t complain too much. As I sit here, tears roll down my face! Just know you’re not alone! P.S. My other side effect is the skin on my fingers gets so dry and peels off.

OMG YES , so I take Versenio and fulvestraunt which is FASLODEX injections. I also get Zometa infusion . I also smoke pot . So when I don’t smoke the eyes are dryer but my water leaks down my face all day all night . :(

Yes, was on Ibrance and Fulvestrant for two years. Eyes watered a lot. After a year or so, I got a weekly "cold," too - sneezing and congested. I had forgotten about the runny eyes (mostly left eye) because I have been off both for a few months. Stopped. So it was definitely one or both of those meds. I just kept a tissue and wiped my eyes all the time. Sometimes I didn't and it looked like I was crying. (Sometimes I would go with that, when people asked!) Ophthalmologist said I had a blocked tear duct and should live with it because unclogging it was a painful procedure. Obviously, she was wrong - second time she said I needed surgery to fix what was actually a side effect, and she is supposed to be one of the best in the country.

I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for a year and a half and a year ago the eyes started watering terribly. Saw the ophthamologist and there was nothing wrong with the eyes. They still water but I find when I wear my glasses full time it helps. Prior to last summer I was not wearing them, except for reading, and maybe I should have been. I do believe they are irritated by one or both of the drugs.

Yep I get the watery eyes too, and have done since first taking Letrozole and Ibrance. I’ve got used to it and it does fluctuate in intensity. It usually improves by the afternoon. In fact, the watering is not as bad now as it was 2 years ago and I have days when they are water-free!I have dry eyes too. I’ve tried drops but they don’t seem to make much difference. Sometimes I massage the tear ducts with a cotton pad and hot water as they feel enlarged.

I see it as a small price to pay for the good job the meds are doing. I hope you find something to help.
