I was just thinking of Sandra not being able to be on her e-bike for a bit. So, I thought it would be fun to create a virtual outing! Let's post a photo of our surroundings with the location and current weather. We can get to know each other a little better and see some nice scenery even if we can't get out!
My contribution is my backyard in Birmingham, AL. It's GORGEOUS weather today with sunny skies and 85 degrees headed to the low 90's.

I was just out in Utah this past week the weather was great. Our last day at Zion was 104 by the time we got to Saint George it was 107. We hiked angels landing early it was upper seventies by the time we came back down it was that 104. That was too hot for me. When we returned to our car the steering wheel was so hot you couldn't touch it . We saw on the news that night in our hotel room that the temps where going to be 115 in the coming days. Got to say we where glad to come back to Pennsylvania all though now we have sweat shirts on cause it's only 68 here. This is a pic of us after conquering angels landing!!!
Making to the top of angel landing in this heat! Very impressive!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for your sweet idea.
My left shoulder is sore from hoisting my e bike on the car. I am babying it for a week. Hint: when someone offers help lifting your bike on and off, say yes! 😁
Here is a pretty nearby pond photo for Sandra. It is in a town about 20 miles from Boston Massachusetts
My first boyfriend was from Lynnfield, MA! I love the area. While we were yogeti visited e dry season, except winter. He actually moved to Concord NH; he said that he missed having seasons. I am in CA, and we just have summer and winter, really!
When I was in high school I asked my date for a gardenia corsage not realizing they are so fragile. Needless to say, it didn't last through too many slow dances that night. 😄
I live in Baltimore, MD, which is enjoying amazingly cool and lovely weather…but I’m hoping to send a photo of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, where I worked 4 years in my 20s and hope to return for a reunion (our 12th?) in September.
Here is a gorgeous sunset from our recent camping trip with friends. After a couple of stormy nights, last Saturday was very hot so we went swimming in the afternoon. The water was wavy as it is here, cool and very clear.
Sunset over Anglin Lake, Saskatchewan about 9:30 pm on June 12, 2021
What a great idea. I love your garden what a lovely place to chill with nature.I’m not going anywhere today so I am having breakfast looking outside in North Wales where it’s a cool 15 degrees.
Andi, great idea! I was back in the U.K. earlier this month having treatment (still stable!) and spent the day in Brighton to get my fix of being by the sea. It was a gorgeous day and I was with two of my daughters. I’ve never really understood the concept of paying nearly as much as you would for a house for one of these beach huts! I hope your new house has been a healthy distraction from your change in treatments and I hope this week goes well for you. Vicki
Clare, It was so wholesome to be able to live a near normal existence with the low Covid rates a few weeks ago (once I was out of quarantine of course). Seeing friends face to face for outdoor dining in the countryside was a real treat. But international travel is not for the faint hearted! You need a lot of stamina and determination with all the Covid testing, quarantining, flight cancellations etc.! I am free tomorrow! We've always enjoyed popping down to Brighton and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Lucky you!
Good to know travel can be done even though it sounds quite a palaver. So nice for you to be able to meet up with friends again I’m hoping to go away to Shropshire for a weekend in August with friends and the Cotswolds in September for an ebiking trip (Covid dependent of course!). Hope you enjoy your freedom.Clare
Wow - scrollling through the pics and adventures I almost as good as being able to travel - thanks ladies x I’m in Melbourne - can’t sleep so in the bath - and it’s cold and raining here for the week. Mid winter so rain is good and silver lining is when I’m having more severe “heatwaves “ as my niece calls them - I just wander outside and the relief is instant 🙏
Me in my garden sunshine last dec. Mates uni photo shoot. Cat is Smudge x
Hey Sandra! I wish there was more we could do for you. It just breaks my heart you have been in so much pain. I only had two tiny spots of my spine radiated, and I almost came out of my skin with the pain flares. It was horrible. I hope you are beginning to come out of it and have less pain each day. I do hope the photos brightened your spirits a little. Don't our friends have some awesome surroundings? You take care and know how many good vibes come your way each and every day!
