Hi ladies, just to say my CT scan showed positive news insofar as my Cancer is stable. Bones and lungs. My radiation on my pelvis seems to have reduced my pain by 80% also. So I am a happy lady for another 3 months.
As far as my Tinnitus goes my Oncologist feels if it was from the mets in my head I would have far worse symptoms. I am seeing my GP next month for an examination in my lower ear drums but to be honest I’m not sure there is much they can do. I may be referred to ENT Consultant.
I hope you are all feeling ok with Spring around the corner.
Great news ! I hope your dr can get you into an ENT quickly . Medical issues can be more than just cancer . However I think almost all of mine is blamed on cancer both by myself and doctors . I hope you can get some relief from the tinnitus and really enjoy your next3 months. Luann

Hi Luann, thank you so much. Yes, it will be interesting to see what the GP recommends. My Oncologist did reassure me that it isn’t Cancer related or the treatment I am on.Take care
Thanks so much. Been there today. I’m in a different world when I’m outdoors and looking at things growing.Take care

Thanks Clare. Been thinking of you whilst looking at the mountains across the water from the allotment. It’s been so good for me being able to lift my leg up and down a kerbside and steps. I was beginning to get so much pain. I have several mets in the pelvic area so there was no surprise I would eventually need Radiotherapy. I tried to work through it but had to give in. I hope things are good for you right now.
Take care

I would love to be able to go to the mountains, my Husband and Son are missing them a lot. As soon as I can get up one I will wave to you. Not sure when that will be as my fitness isn’t so good with this lockdown.Don’t see it as giving in, the treatment has done the trick. Good timing for you as well, so you can get down to the allotment more. X

That would be great Clare. We miss our walks but it’s impossible to go anywhere now so the allotment is our saving grace. My husband is missing the Lake District. We venture there Spring and Autumn but who knows what will happen this year. Keep safe and I will be looking for your wave. Best wishesCheryl

Clare the name of the mountain we see from the allotment is called Moel Famau. Do you know it. There’s also a church steeple in view as well.

Ido t know that one, but I have just looked it up and it has lovely woods around it. It’s near Mold so our mountains are probably behind it. If I jump you might see me😂
My favourite You Tube video is Escape to the Country. I now know where the Lake District is. England is so awesomely beautiful. All the rolling countryside and scenes of grazing animals is so uplifting to me. And the wonderful gardens. Just a beautiful country. And all the rivers, brooks, creeks and meandering water ways are just so wonderful. What a super great country. A lot of love has gone into saving all the stone buildings and castles. When I get well I am coming to England and will visit the Lake District. Hugs Marlene
That's nice of you to say so about England! The Lake District is beautiful. I like Escape to the Country too, but I do wonder how much more country we will have before it becomes as built up and overgrown as the cities people are trying to escape from. My mum and dad moved to the country with my oldest brother back in the mid-70s as part of the London overspill, as the city was getting too crowded. But I have noticed in recent years that my part of the country is also getting more built up. We have lost some of our greenbelt and forests as more houses have been built. I hope you get to come over and visit us someday, Marlene.
Thank you so much. Yes my GP sent a link across for the Tinnitus Society. I will take a look later.Best wishes
Hi Cheryl,
I’m so pleased for you! Let’s hope that the tinnitus is unrelated to the cancer and that something can be done for it. I’ve got it too. It’s not loud or too much of a bother; it’s more of a fluttering sensation in my ears. But I should still get it checked out. I think it’s so easy to blame everything on the cancer. Maybe it is related, but then again it might not be.
Take care,
Sophie 💐

Hi Sophie, hope you are ok. Isn’t the Tinnitus annoying? It’s so common though. Wish there was some sort of cure for it. My Dad had it and now my Brother has it to. Thank goodness the weather is changing and we can go out more to take our minds off it. Sometimes I have buzzing and sometimes humming. They can both come at the same time as well. Let me know how you are after your last tests. Best wishes as always.Cheryl
Thank you Sandra. Yes, I am now under the impression it is my age. You are quite right in saying we all feel it’s Cancer related. I will relax about it now and just make sure there’s distractions around me to stop me thinking about it.Best wishes

Really good news. Those flowers are beautiful 😀
Thank you so much. I wish it was good news for everyone on here. It’s such a journey we are on. The flowers are my Mothers Day gift from my Stepdaughter.Take care
Such wonderful scan results. Congrats! So happy for you. And what a lovely photo. I just love flowers. I am a bit later chiming in but today is moving day for us. We are moving to a new home in Burlington Ontario. Much smaller so lots of downsizing.
I hate that word, "downsizing". When downsizing, one has to rid oneself of all the little meaningful treasures that someone else would consider trash and one has to read every piece of paper to make sure it holds no sentimental value, never mind practical.
Isnt' it great to have so many friends on here wishing well. And thanks for the nice vibes. Came at a good time. I am not sure we have made the right choice but it is a lovely place and maybe it will work out. I just feel overwhelmed at the moment because I need lots of time for myself.
Yes, thanks. I mostly do take time for myself but there is so much to do getting settled in and my husband is notorious for not organizing his things and very often can't find what he desperately needs. He is 86 and his hands shakes and he can't see well. Makes him frustrated So I am working on getting him better organized.
