CT scan results

Hi everyone.

Haven’t posted for a while. I’ve been on holiday as most of you know and awaiting my follow up appointment after being on Xeloda for 3 months.

News is good at last. The Cancer in my Liver has shrunk and my bones and lungs are stable. To say I’m over the moon is an understatement.

I’m hoping that you all have positive results from your scans and any new meds that you are on. We all share this together.

That is super good news! I am on my 2nd month/cycle and hoping for good news next month too. Keep us updated please. May I ask what dosage you have been taking?

I’m two weeks on 2250 mg twice a day with third week off. I’m on the highest dose. Wishing you all the best for next month. Cheryl

OMG, so you are taking 4500 in total? 2250 in the am and the same in the pm? My doc started me off at 3300 and lowered it to 2900 because of the side effects. Lot's of info out there stating the 2500 a day max does not limit the effectiveness, but does lower the toxicity. There are papers on pubmed and drugs.com. Glad you are doing so well!

No, it doesn’t make any difference if the dose is lower. Guess my Oncologist and Radiologist thought it was correct for me. I was offered the lower dose if my feet and hands get worse but since using Aveeno cream with Colloidal Oatmeal it’s much better. Take care x
