Megestrol hormonal therapy drug (breast cancer spread to bones and liver )

Good evening ladies , As I can not have chemotherapy due to low neutrophils and tired bone marrow , my oncologist suggested hormonal therapy drug Megestrol , any experience with this drug please ? Many thanks

Megace is a very old hormonal therapy drug that's rarely prescribed nowadays. Newer hormonal therapies include Aromatase Inhibitors (Letrozole, Arimidex and Aromasin), Tamoxifen (which has been around for a while), and Faslodex. I'd suggest seeking a second professional opinion if you possibly can.
