Pain between shoulder blades on upper back. back

Does anyone have pain on upper back between shoulder blades? I lost a muscle in my back when Dr used tissue from my back to reconstruct my breast back in 2006. I was diagnosed with MBC in 2018. I am currently taking a Faslodex injection once a month and with that Dr. recently added 300 mgs of Piqray. I got results from Pet scan and there was nothing new found. No new growth, thank God.

I have something similar with sharp pain that lasts seconds, but extremely painful. They told me it was nerve damage because of the surgery that I had in the area. Hope that is all it is.

Do you mean the surgery to reconstruct your breasts? I lost a muscle getting that done as they used tissue from my back to reconstruct my breast with.

It was surgery to biopsy my lungs. I had diep flap reconstruction. Any surgery can cause nerve damage. I just have a very sharp pain in the right side of my back. It doesn't last but seconds but is extremely painful until it passes. Sometimes I think it is because I turn a certain way. I have heard of ladies having nerve pain at the mastectomy sight. I don't think there is anything that can be done. Blessings Hannah

That sounds like what I have. It’s right there where they took tissue from my back when they did my breast reconstruction. The pain feels like under my left breast (the breast my Cancer was in & was reconstructed) and radiates to my back, where they got tissue from to use to reconstruct my breast.

I think it is something we will just have to live with. Mine was severe enough, even though it didn't last long that I mentioned it to two different doctors and got the same answer. Good luck! Blessings, Hannah

I had same operation in 2012 but dont get pain there mine is just bottom of my back, hopefully just muscle pain

Yes I too have Continuous pain between shoulder Blades. I havent had any surgery to that area so it's not that. My MBC has invaded my lungs and bones so I put it down to that but I think it is related to side effect of drugs. I am on Ibrance and Letrozole and Denuosmab injections. Pain is also in my right hip and thigh. Since Covid (Feb) I wasnt allowed to go to hospital for my injection but have just started again recently. So 5/6 months passed and the pain got worse. I am due a ct scan soon so either will show something up or please God it’s ok.

Pain is wearing but keep strong and positive!!

What did the doctor say about the pain between your shoulders mine feels like it’s in my rib cage under my right breast where my gallbladder was taken out it hurts a lot now

I have been on Piqray for 16 days or so and I had bad diarrhea, only side effect I have had.

I also have shoulder pain I think it’s the bone Mets especially since I have to change treatment and am testing for Pik3a How are you doing on it how are side effects these seem to be harsh and are really concerning. Good to hear no progression.

Then after taking the piqray pill I’ve had diarrhea but Imodium has helped so far. My Drs nurse said take it after l

Also, I take 800 mgs of Ibuprofen daily and it helps with my bone pain.

So you have 2 doses too early to see anythingelse show up. Do you take Imodium everyday do you know anyone that’s been on a longtime did you loose your hair?

Not every day. Some days are better than others. Now that I have Metastatic Breast Cancer I have not lost any hair. When I had Breast Cancer the first time in 2005 & I had the chemotherapy they give you thru a port I V, I did lose
