Severe left shoulder pain with popping!

My left shoulder has been killing me for about 2 weeks, fingers on other arm also. It says in pet scan a vague sclerotic lesion along the proximal left humerus. Okay I would like to know since it says that could I have a fracture? I just got my Faslodex and Dr. out of country. I go back in less then 2 weeks. This pain didn’t start until injections. I also have bursitis so I’m wondering maybe a combo of cancer, bursitis, and Faslodex? Can I wait for follow up since I didn’t fall or lift to heavy. Thanks I don’t think it’s to serious at this point. Thanks so much!

Hi Clair

Although I’m no expert it doesn’t sound serious. I have body aches that some and go and my knees and feet sometimes, forget it. I’m sure the hormone blockers are not the best for our joints. Are you taking any supplements?

No I don’t take supplements because all my in depth blood work is all fantastic. So I try not to take more than needed. I think it’s from the Faslodex too. So unless I cannot move it I will mention it to him. I thank you for responding. My weight is back to normal which is 133 so I gained the 10 pounds back I lost with Chemo. Blessed as I see it, and need to move on with things.

write down stuff that hurts..and then forget about it for a week. if it still hurts, then call your dr. but usually i find they are "phantom pains" and i can barely remember what i wrote! advil does wonders for all over body pain. it is my bff.

Yeah I will make a note in my phone. Noticed it started a month in with Faslodex. I do the opposite I tell my patients to do, and ask so many questions. I have never been on this side always the provider, not fun. Thanks for responding.

lol. i am a pro at giving out advice, but i am a total freakout case myself sometimes!! but i find that writing out thoughts to others in the same boat, helps calm me and realize that others are in this too! the fulv didn't work for me at all...so i went to a trial at dfci...that worked great for 6 months...now i'm on plain old xeloda, which seems to be my miracle:) yes, tons of questions... i have a bag i carry around that is my "cancer bag"...it is a cloth bag that fits inside my handbag...anytime i think of anything i just write it down and throw it in the bag...and then i open the bag with my oncologist...we have some good laughs at the shit i write down!! lol. have a great sunday!!

I say yes to the site! I was trying to be funny, get it say yes to the dress! Silly me.... I take tums if needed, but with my iron, calcium, thyroid is all fantastic, so I just try to eat foods with natural vitamins. We eat so much Salmon, avacodos, fruits and spinach. I don’t like red meats, I will eat some pork, no bacon and no fast food! Gee I’m reading what I don’t eat so why I’m gaining weight? No fluid I do splurge with root beer floats. I know I use very little root beer. Oh so back to my normal before cancer diagnosis last year. Sorry I’m rambling! Anyway thanks for writing me, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Really need to release I have cancer and really just go with the flow. All the meds alone make my head hurt. I’m sure it’s the cancer in my humours hurting. I have been packing for new floors coming in and all that banging I had to pack pics, and just about anything that could break, so that might be it. But thanks again.

I have a lot of lesions in various bones and they really do ache/pain a lot. Something for pain may be needed. I was prescribed Vimovo which is a naproxen with a stomach buffer and it works well but it does cause fatigue.

I have gerd really bad. So I take Percocet when I get real bad. I don’t hurt much but shoulder lately. I guess with this awful disease anything is possible. Good luck!
