Well I rocked up at Windsor Hospital this morning after a sleepless night ready for my underarm ultrasound and biopsy!
The radiologist who had reported on my CT scan advised me that there has been a mistake and my Oncologist has mis-read the report. I definitely do not have a new axillary lymph node.
She advised there was a very tiny new spot on the liver worth investigating further and I am still awaiting Friday’s liver mri results.
So whilst there has been a “cock up” the news so far is good.
Fingers crossed 🤞 for good results from my liver MRI.
Stay safe.

So glad that the result was a good one but it doesn’t give you much faith does it?
When I had my gall bladder removed in March...the surgeon took a liver biopsy but didn’t tell or send the results to my oncologist...she had no idea it had been done...was only because I mentioned it...I vaguely remember him telling me when I was coming round from the anaesthetic....everything is so compartmentalised and separate In hospitals that sometimes communication breaks down
Anyway I sincerely hope the liver met remains small and you don’t have to change meds
Thanks Jo...I’m not sure as it’s early days...next injections on Friday ☹️
Love

Hi Jo,
It is unnerving when a doctor gets something like a possible metastasis wrong. We put our trust in our medical team. You must be so relieved to learn that there has not been any spread to your axillary lymph node and that a biopsy is not needed. That's good news!
Hopefully the spot on your liver is not cancerous. I was misdiagnosed with liver metastases for nearly two years before I finally learned that they were haemangiomas (just blood vessels). So that could be what's going on in your liver too. When I had a full bone body scan and a PET CT scan every little thing lit up, even parts of my body where the cancer had not metastasised to. So there was my liver, which is clear of cancer. My womb and ovaries also showed something, which turned out to be uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts, all harmless, but alarming when you are facing the possibility of multiple areas of metastasis.
Sorry you had to go through that this morning ...as if it’s not stressful enough ! Maybe ask for a copy of your ct radiography report ( I get mine from my GP but have to wait for it to come through ) Fingers crossed for your liver MRI results . x
That is GREAT!! Hopefully the news will be just as good re your liver. Unfortunately, mine wasn't. Biopsy and treatment change for me....but maybe that improves your odds!! We can't all have bad news! So happy about your axilla.
Wishing you every success with your treatment change.
Whatever the outcome is with my recent liver mri I know, eventually, I will face a treatment change.......

Jo,
I read your post earlier and was just shaking my head, could not think of a response! That's nuts!!! But nuts in the best way possible, I'm so happy for the turn of events and, wow, just in time! So glad they connected the dots!
I’m thinking, thank goodness it was the same radiologist that had produced my recent CT scan report, that I saw yesterday! I may well have had an unnecessary biopsy or would they have seen that there was a mistake once they did the ultrasound??
Hey ho, just waiting on the liver MRI - at least it feels like half the worry has now been lifted 😂

Great news.
Shame the Onc couldn’t tell you the self they had made a blunder. Hope they get the other results for you nice and quick.
It’s good that things are better than you thought but if I was you I would have been pretty cranky that he has misread the report. No need to scare you like that.
