Good Scan

I just had my Ct Scan and it was good. Everything has stayed the same. I always wish they would say that some Mets were getting smaller but this is also a good result. Especially as I have never been able to take my Ibrance as I’m supposed to. I have always had to wait three weeks before starting the next cycle. I’m hoping at my appointment on Tuesday my oncologist has come up with a plan to get my neutrophils up. 1 1/2 years into this and I’m going strong.

Hello Sarcie. I am on the same 3 weeks on/3 weeks off. Tried everything to get my neutrophils back up. My Oncologist said there is nothing I can do xx

Stable is good! Have you tried a lower dose of Ibrance? 100mg or 75mg. May be more tolerable, and lower dose may keep your neutrophils up.

Taking 75

Thank you Sandra for explaining that to me as well because I too had a scan at the end of Jan. & really was looking for more reduction as in my first scan 56%. The way you brought that out helps me understand it more.💖

It's good news. Happy for you. Congrats.

That is great news, Sarcie! Stable is good. I know what you mean about wanting more. Hearing about a decrease in tumour size is something we all want. I agree with your friend that this calls for a celebration!

I was diagnosed with mbc from the get go long before meds like Ibrance were around. I got nearly five years from Femara (letrozole) alone and then over 9 years from Faslodex. I was on Ibrance for almost ten cycles in year 7 of the faslodex but the ibrance did a number on my lungs and I really wish I had never taken it! I've been on Aromasin since early 2018 and still doing well. I will be interested to see what oncs are saying about drugs like Ibrance and Afinitor ten years from now.....I suspect less enthusiasm but that's my very biased view. Stable is always good news.
