Scan results mixed 😢

Hi Girls, Feeling scared as after two months off chemo (Taxol) my livers mets have progressed to the same size as they had reduced to after nine weeks on Taxol. My lung and spine mets are stable. So basically it is back to chemo for as long as I can take it. I will move from my Fulvestrant break (with Denosumab) to Xeloda Denosumab and d Avastine in two weeks (so glad I got the port a cath fitted). Hope Xeloda works for liver mets as I am running out of options and I love my life.

BangorBelle, we’re trading therapies! I’m going off Xeloda onto Taxol. I did get 6 months on Xeloda with good drops in CA 15-3 and liver enzymes. I hope you get good liver results too.

I took 1300 mg am/pm, 7 days on, 7 days off. I think that schedule helped keep the hand/foot syndrome manageable, also lots of Udderly Smooth with Urea and occasion ice foot baths.

We tried adding Exemestane to the Xeloda this month but I ended up with hives and intense joint pain.

For now I’m going to do my best to enjoy the next 2 weeks before I start Taxol. ..and yes, keep loving life!

Good luck. I found Taxol fine until about week 18 but the results were great. Good luck with it x

I’m in the same situation as you. My last treatment stopped working a couple months ago and my largest liver met is up to 8 com’s and growing at a rate of 1 cm a month. Bone mets are stable. I start Xeloda soon and the doctor is going to combine it with Keytruda if Merck agrees to pay for it. Still waiting on Merck to agree. He is hoping the immunotherapy will extend the efficacy of Xeloda. Best of luck to you. I have heard of women going into complete remission with Xeloda. Wouldn’t that be great!

Sister/warrior. I thank God your metastatic lung, and spine conditions are stable. I am praying that the Taxol will once again shrink the liver tumor, and kill all of the cancer in your body. Stay strong sister warrior. XoXoXo
