Denosumab

Had my 3rd injection of Denosumab in September. I did have neck abd back pain with previous injections. I decided I would go with 3rd, I'm having worst pain ever.

This is my 3rd injection of denosumab.Have had neck and back pain after all injections. Also makes me feel very tired ,and don't feel up to doing much. I have 3 spinal fractures told about them Jan 2023. I feel I may have snother fracture. Sometimes feel as if a knife is going into my back. Has anybody

Has anyone been on this for more than 10 years? What were your T-Scores before you started treatment & during or after treatment? Thank u

Has anybody had bad results like neck shoulder and back pain on Denosumab.I am due for my 3rd injection and as I've had a lot of pain am a bit reluctant. Seeing nurse 3rd sep.

Within the group receiving bone-modifying agents, no significant differences in survival were seen between those on bisphosphonates versus denosumab. The rate of osteonecrosis of the jaw was 12% in both groups.

No differences in overall survival were observed between the comparison of bisphosphonates and denosumab, while denosumab showed numerically better results in progression-free survival analysis after adjusting for covariates. Event rates of osteonecrosis to the jaw were low in both groups.

For those who have or are using low dose estrogen: Are you now or were you on denosumab or similar when starting (MO kept bringing up that he had me on denosumab)? If so, did you make an instant switch or continue on both for any period of time (how long)?

Then tried denosumab (Prolia) 3 months’ ago, and I’m pretty sure I won’t have the next one as the side effects have been dreadful. My and career have been with horses, so I haven’t ridden now for nearly 20 years. I’m thinking that with two thoracic fractures, maybe writing is not a good idea.

I think I need to jump to Zometa or denosumab soon. (Currently also using lupron and nubeqa for HSPC or CRPC)

Hi I am a little worried because I am using three different biologic Denosumab for osteoporosis xolair (Omalizumab ) for chronic urticaria hope ive spelt that right and Adalimumab for Rheaumatiod I spoke to my dermatologist Friday he said he was happy to leave me on xolair while having other biologics

I will keep getting a Eligard shots every three months ,Abiraterone four pills a day with prednisone, and to keep me bones hard denosumab every six months I would love to keep something else hard now and again ,but that me shipmates is a C story for another day. Fair winds to Ye

I have had one denosumab injection and the one problem I am having with it is that my nails are suffering badly - very dry and crumbling. I see that Biotin is suggested as being helpful. Does anyone have knowledge of this or any other suggestions?

Hi there I am new to Osteoporosis and had my first Denosumab 6 monthly jab over 2 months ago . I was first alerted to Osteoporosis on a screening routine lung scan which showed a fracture in my lower vertebrae which I didnt know about.

I’m scared because I had my first Denosumab injection yesterday afternoon, and all previous treatments gave me side effects (that’s all orals, that wrecked my insides), and then Teriparatide (had to stop after 7 weeks).

Has anyone had a Denosumab injection after having a Retuximab infusion. I have just had my second infusion and due a Denosumab injection soon. Just read that Denosumab can increase the risk of serious infection with Rituximab. Rheumatology have said that it's OK, but I don't trust them.

my doctor is talking about putting me on denosumab as a next step after Risedronate. I would like to hear of anyone’s experience of having this drug. My Dexa scan shows a significant decrease in T scores while taking risedronate so that obviously hasn’t worked for me .

My GP has suggested the injection denosumab (Prolia,) injection every 6 months, I have done some research on this treatment, possible side effects a bit scary.

I was offered a 6-monthly Denosumab jab, but I decided that, if I had the same reaction to that, I'd be stuck with it for 6-months. That seems to be all that's available for men. I'm trying to deal with this with exercise and diet alone. Has anybody else had the same problems? Thanks.

I am waiting to hear whether my consultant will consider prescribing Teraperatide instead of the so far offered Denosumab which I am not keen on. I know that strontium was and still is considered very effective.
