Hello all, does anyone have any information regarding Rick Simpson Oil (RSO)?

Rick Simpson Oil
It looks like it is an oil with higher amounts of the psychogenic properties of marijuana. From my brief scan it doesn’t look like anyone has proved that it definitely helps with breast cancer.
Read good things, but no experience. CURE magazine issue last year stated there is some evidence that marijuana kills breast cancer cells in laboratory. Can’t study in US because considered schedule 1 drug. Unfortunate. My doc says it has many potential benefits, but illegal in TX.
I personally know several people that have been cured/in remission by using RSO, CBD, THC. With that being said, if anyone is interested in this type of treatment then they should consult a Holistic Dr that has experience with medical marijuana. Not all cancers are treated with the same RSO, CBD, THC strengths. I'm currently beginning a care plan for ER+ breast cancer with bone mets and my health professional has told me, my specific breast cancer responds well to high doses of CBD, low THC. I did consult with my Oncologist at Dana Farber about this and he said "I can not endorse the use because there is no scientific data to prove it works, however, I have many patients that use CBD and they swear 100% by it so I say go for it". I'm currently taking Letrolze/Ibrance .75 and have been using full spectrum CBD/THC for about a month. It takes at least 4 weeks for the CBD to get into your body and the dose that works for you will be different for everyone. I'm currently at a low dose but over the next 3 months will work up to the daily dose that my health professional feels is right for me. CBD is not going to hurt you, it comes from a plant with many many health benefits. THC will get you high IF you take more than you need. I need to function for my family so my dose will be low to treat symptoms only (achy joints, anxiety) plus ER+ does not really like THC so we will keep that low as possible. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 8 months ago, the current prescription medication is working to shrink the 2 tumors I have and overall I feel good. Using CBD is a choice I am making for myself because I feel after much research, I feel it can't hurt. There is nothing in the CBD that is going to make my situation worse so why not, its like taking a daily multi-vitamin. Again, do your research and decide what is best for you. I see my Oncologist in a few weeks for PET Scan & blood work. Also, drinks lots of water, eat clean (keto, whole 30) and get some sort of exercise in each day. RSO is a very potent oil, that again, you start at a very low dose and work your way up to tolerate. The only first hand knowledge I have with that is a friend had esophagus cancer and was told the Dr's couldn't do any more so he started taking RSO - was very, very sick - 3 months later - new scan's - cancer free. Dr. told him to keep doing what he is doing! So today, he functions normally but does take a maintenance dose that he can tolerate everyday and he's been cancer free for 5 years so far.
Just telling you what I know. Everyone is free to believe what they want. Anyone can do the research themselves and read about people around the world with similar stories. Unfortunately, the use of marijuana is still illegal and taboo for most people so some of these people are not going to their local news station to spread the word. Additionally, there is not much "scientific research" for the previous mention reason and big pharma is not going to spend the money to research this if its cuts into there profit, as well as your Dr's profit. Imagine, a plant you can grow yourself that cures cancers. Just my opinion - time will tell, as marijuana is starting to get a lot more attention for the medical properties versus "just to get high". Look up Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, he's just one of the many Dr's that believe other wise. Good Luck to everyone and the choices you make.
are you on aromatase inhibitors? the CBD (or THC) will inhibit the activity of CYP17A1 (P450c17), the enzyme responsible for the 17α-hydroxylation of progesterone and the subsequent formation of androstenedione, one of the substrates of aromatase. This will reduce the formation of the substrate androstenedione and also strengthen the action of aromatase inhibitors.
here is another supportive aspect about CBD and THCs ability to kill some cancers: the cancers can have cannabinoid receptors CB1 or CB2 potentially and thus the cannabinoids can bind to them and then be able to shrink or kill the cancer cells: "Its well-known that many forms of cancer respond positively to the anti-proliferative (anti-growth) properties of THC, which binds to cannabinoid receptors in tumors and causes them to stop growing or even to shrink. But a 2015 European study found at least 20% of breast cancer biopsies samples examined did not over-express any CB2 cannabinoid receptors (so 80% do!!!! yeh!), even in low numbers. There will also likely be various individual tumor mutations that can potentially cause resistance to the effects of THC, as can happen with any therapy.
