My onc gave me some good news about my latest scans. He says the ones on my breast and lymph nodes are still shrinking and they, along with those in my hip bones and spine are not only shrinking but they are getting more milky looking as they are becoming less solid and they are thinning out.

Yeah 🎀🙏❤️. Good news 💕
That is such wonderful news! I wonder if the tumours will continue to shrink until they are completely gone? That would be the best news of all. x
Wonderful! Every good result makes us all feel uplifted! Elaine
Great news! Some of us with bone mets live a very long time! I have been living mbc, bone mets, for over 15 1/2 years. I'm a retired Episcopal p riest. A clergywoman friend told me that clergy women have a high incidence of breast cancer but I've not been able to find any stats that verify that. Have you? Has anybody? We sure live with stress!
So happy to hear this great news!🙌
Great news!
Great news!! Always good to hear that others are healing. May it continue for you.
Thank you Sandra. Have not been good. The sciatica came back- with the pain. The damn steroids messed me up big time- while I was on them I lost 12 lbs; the dr said nobody loses weight on steroids— ran blood tests- all good. Came off the dexa October 20 and last week another dr visit because my legs have been swollen. He thinks it’s lymphedema; I think he is off base. Have been on lasix now more than a week- and then I am supposed to start treatment next Monday? With iv drugs I never had? I haven’t posted because I feel so down with all this. My onc and Pcp want me to see vascular surgeon now.
Sorry I am rambling on. Have thought of you so often also. Did anything change? How are you feeling?
Sending you love and hugs🥰
I feel the same way, when I am thinking about myself! I pray and wish the best for all of us.
You are the rock of this group!
God bless you.

Sandra
I went back to my Pcp today- legs are much better- I was doing light leg excercise and elevating them -didn’t think it was lymphedema but rebound steroid effect- well he agreed with my diagnosis today after checking me. He said lymphedema does not get better on its own. But now I know I tend to retain fluid- I asked him to change bp meds because norvasc can cause swelling also- he took me off and doing recheck Friday of my bp.
So even though I am terrified and dreading it, we are going ahead with first treatment Monday.
I have to share this with you because I need to vent it also. I had port put in October 17th and it was covered with steristrips till last night when they fell off. So i am looking in the mirror for the port thinking it’s a button or cap from when I did oncology till 2008. Well, I see nothing and skin is closed. So I asked my Pcp to check it and he goes”Fran did anybody explain anything to you?” I said no so he got upset- he said it’s on my records I am a RN and assumptions get made. He had to explain to me that they go into it with needles- oh I am so overjoyed I started cursing. Sandra, I never thought to ask and no one bothered to explain either. The dr who put it in explained the procedure because I wanted it on the left and he said on the right so he went into the procedure in detail.
Omg-my brain does not always fire on all thrusters!!!
It made me start thinking though- nobody explained treatment and pre treatment for Monday either. Tomorrow I am calling the head rn at my onc’ s office.
I try to leave my rn hat home when I am the patient- obviously that is not good for me to do. Agh!!
I am better though from the damn rebound effects of dexa. The sciatica pain I will have to deal with.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you hugs and love.
