Hair thinning
I have extensions put in as it’s thin mainly around the sides

don't extensions make thin hair, thinner? I can't imagine putting (more) stress on hair.
When I was on Ibrance, I read about the hair loss. I would look constantly in the shower and not notice much hair loss. I would not color my my hair and on days when I was not doing anything, I would not blow dry my hair and let it dry itself bc I could fee it was much more brittle but I thought I was one of the lucky ones (I was only on for 3 cycles though). Then I vacuumed a large area rug I had and when I went to empty it, I was shocked. I live alone, no kids, no pets. You would have thought I had a large dog. My vacuum was filled with hair. I didn't obviously notice it was shedding. I read to buy pure silk pillow cases which are much easier on the hair when sleeping.
I’ve been using different products. I’ve noticed my hair is falling out more now (6 months on Ibrance/Letrozole). I see some thinning on top but my husband tells me he doesn’t notice it. I have tried Nioxin as it was recommended by a few ladies here. I have also used goat milk shampoo/conditioner from Beekman 1802.
The shampoo/conditioner and other products I use the most is from Tweak’d by Nature. The founder has been around many years and when his own mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through chemo he created a product just for people going through the same. Look it up. I think it’s worth it. I have purchased the products through QVC and HSN.
Hi, I have used Rogaine for women for 2 and a half years. It has really helped. My oncologist said I could use it but I would check with your doctor first. Best wishes!
My hair has become thin and may become thinner. I am thinking about hair extensions.
I’ve had 18 cycles of ibrance and faslodex and i’ve Used a caffeine shampoo. I’ve had recession at the temples but apart from that my hair is still quite thick.
I use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and take Biotin once a day. It has helped, and also the biotin helps with my nails being brittle.
I take Biotin and use a Biotin shampoo. So far the thinning is not very noticeable. My stylist also recommended use dry shampoo to fill in the thinner spots. Somehow it seems to make it fuller.
Just spent the afternoon at my hairdressers getting my blonde foil highlights done and a good trim ...after 22 cycles of Ibrance 125 mg / Letrozole my hair has thinned (mainly at the front and sides) but grows fast ! ...I use a caffeine shampoo and have an understanding hairdresser that styles it to make it look as full as pos... I now have a very short bob which looks at its best when I have a full blow dry at my hairdressers (special occasions !) ...but on a daily basis I avoid overheating it ...if I’m at home I put a couple of plastic side combs in to keep my hair in place as it can get a bit wild /wiry ! ( the texture has changed to dry / coarse but I use a nice smoothing balm which helps a bit ) . Overall it’s not too bad... just looks like I have fine hair ! Take care x
I had a ton of hair to start with thank god because I have lost about 2/3 of mine. Luckily it has fallen out fairly evenly. I have thyroid issues on top of this. I take biotin once a day but I don’t know that it has helped at all. You may need to try a different style or cut to make the most of the hair you have. Good luck! Let us know if you find something that works.

I use a “fill in” powder called Caboki. I love it. They’ll send you samples of different colors.
Mine thinned for about 6 months. I actually got a wig because I was seriously terrified that I would wake up one day without any hair. Everyday I would have tons of loose hair on my shoulders. The hair that was left was very dry. All of a sudden it stopped falling out and started getting thicker again. I also cut it short at that point. Now I feel like it is almost back to normal. I still use a Redkin product for dry hair and I’m a wash and go kind of person so I don’t blow dry it. But there is hope! Elaine
Hello again. With Rogaine or minoxidil you apply it and leave it in. I use the foam and it seems to be very gentle. You only apply it once a day, so it's easypeasy. Again, talk to your oncologist first. 😎👍
Biotin...Biotin,..Biotin!!!!
