I've read where many of you on Ibrance have thinning hair. I'm in my third round, now at 100 mg, dropped from 125. Also combined with Arimidex. I seem to be tolerating it well. My hair hasn't changed, but my question, is it inevitable that it will thin? Is the medication cumulative? I want to try and beat this thing, but is long term use good for us either? Would like some input.

From my experience and from input on this board, it seems inevitable that there will be changes in your hair. As far as I am concerned, that is the least of my problems, and I constantly look for ways to deal w it. The person who does my hair put mousse in it last time for volume and it seemed to work. I haven’t tried it myself. Biotin doesn’t work for me. My hair and nails are not the same. Is long term use of Ibrance good for us? I think we are the generation who will supply the data to answer that. It is too new to know at this point. There are concerns of blood disorders on it, but you have to weigh the good with the bad. We want answers to our questions, facts to guide us in our treatments, but there aren’t a lot of definite answers. It’s like we are walking on a rickety bridge across a big river. I have experienced thinning hair on Ibrance/Faslodex. I tried Minoxidil lotion as well as Biotin shampoo but hair still fell out. I just received my online order of CEL micro stem hair stimulation formula. Some of our sisters on this forum recommended it so I shall try it. Will let you know after 4-6 weeks if it is working.
My hair has thinned considerably (I've been on Ibrance/letrozole for 16 months) and has gone from very, very curly to almost stick straight. Mousse and Toppik helps, but I'm close to needing a wig. (I've hated my curls all my life; like the Beatles said "Instant Karma's gonna get you") Eyebrows have thinned, and I have to use eyebrow pencil for the first time in my life. Still have eyelashes, just not as thick as they used to be. Hair stopped falling out about 6 months ago, but doesn't seem to be growing back. I just read about CEL MD and may try that.
I'm on my 4th round of Ibrance/Letrozol and my hair has thinned considerably. With a shorter cut though I can style so it hardly shows. The thinning seems to have slowed somewhat. I've also lost the hair on my arms and legs. Haven't shaved my legs in months so there is a silver lining! My brows and lashes have also thinned quite a bit. A bit of pencil and mascara help. All in all, no complaints.
Just so you know, I don’t think you are complaining. You’re fairly new to all this and it’s a lot to take in and deal with. And if you have a day where you want to complain and vent, please do. If anyone is entitled to b!txh and moan, we are!🙏
Mine came back extremely thin from chemo and hasn’t recovered since I’m on Ibrance. I use a powder to cover my thin spots and it makes my hair look fuller. It’s called Caboki and comes in many colors. They’ll even send you a small sample. It has brought back my confidence.
