Has anyone done hair extensions or a hair topper for thinning

Has anyone done hair extensions or a hair topper for thinning? I’m so frustrated with the top of my hair and I’m looking at some options. One of those hair toppers sounds to me like it might be a good idea but I’m wondering if anyone has Actually purchased and is wearing one? The other thing I was wondering about was the idea of a few hair extensions in my crown area. If anyone has an experience, please let me know? And thank you so much

Hi Flavia , I have got a hair topper off Amazon , they are amazing, I cut the fringe and added more clips , that I bought off Amazon, it clips onto the hair that is not so thin and it covers the top of the head , I have a few to alternate, I try not to wash them too much as they can go a bit frizzy, I straighten it , It is real hair , I don’t go out without it , I am so use to it now, people don’t even notice , even my friends and family say it is amazing , It took a few days to get use to it , but now I feel lost without it , I take it off on an evening , sometimes I forget I have it on , it has given me so much confidence, Xxx

Oh wow, Amazon, I never kind of looking there. Did you have any trouble getting it to match your color? And thank you for your reply

I did , it wasn’t exactly the same colour but near enough , have a look around some hair extension shops and get an idea what colour you would like before you order one xx

Hi Flavia100 ! I too have ordered hair extensions and hair toppers off of Amazon. They do have some specifically for the crown area and are not expensive ! I had mine cut to match my hair style and my hair dresser - of yo get 100 percent human hair - said it’s really easy to color. I had lots of fun in 2019 with all kinds of hair extension products and wigs when I was dealing with chemo and hair loss ! Be vain and search Amazon !! I loved that with Amazon Prime I could order a ton of items, play dress up and send back what o didn’t like. I even got a knit hat for the winter with hair stitched in. Loved that during the winter months because it was a quick pull on and go ! Blessings 🤗🥰

I bought 2 hats with hair attached one has long straight hair and one has curly mid length hair! Baseball cap. So comfortable. Better than wig which I find uncomfortable.

I agree that the hair thinning and loss is difficult to tolerate. I keep my hair cut short but have also bought two wigs to wear when I go out. One was from Wigs.com and matches my hair perfectly and was pretty reasonable (most people cannot tell I am wearing a wig). The other was more expensive as it is part human part synthetic and is a bit longer style. I looked into hair toppers but did not feel as comfortable with them as a full wig. I know Amazon also has wigs. However if you are interested, check out Wigs.com. The one I bought is called Raquel Welch and the stye is Winner. Best wishes to you.

You have to have enough hair on top to fasten the topper clips!

I had hair thinning my second year on Ibrance (which I've been taking for 5 1/2 years). When I developed bald spots, I bought a topper. I loved it! It looked great, felt weightless, and I had lots of compliments - no one could tell it wasn't my own hair. My hair has since returned to its pre-Ibrance fullness so not wearing one anymore, but I will again in a heartbeat if I need one. I got it from a wig salon that specialized in helping cancer patients (owner was a BC survivor) but there are many, many sources online. Have fun with it! Does wonders for your confidence.

Warm hugs

Susan

I ordered a topper from wigs.com and loved it! The texture & shine was beautiful. Also bought two full wigs. They look great but are hot. My own hair grew back after about a year (Verzenio then Ibrance) but is very dry. I think toppers are a great solution and are easy to use.
