Thank all you ladies for your hair loss suggestions(both head and eyebrows). As I am figuring out what to do, maybe some colorful beret hats will be a distraction as well as face flattering. I already wear eyeglasses all the time and partially cover my sparse blond brows, so I am camouflaged for the time being(my hair is platinum blond so I’ll wear light tops so all the shed hair won’t show on my clothes.) carry on!

Hair loss suggestions
My mum has a weave fitted. She said it has given her much more confidence
If you are in the U.S., the American Cancer Society has free wigs, scarves and hats. They also have a Look Good Feel Good class that is excellent and a fun couple of hours. Blessings, Hannah
I was able to find eyebrow stencils in case the brows totally disappear. It was quite awhile ago, but the ones I bought are Revlon brand . I think I just did a google search. I've also noticed that alot more women are going out bald now than when I was first diagnosed 15 years ago. Some cancer centers have wigs for patients, too.
Before i started chemi i bought two wigs. Id decided what was best for me was to look as 'near me' aa possible. After cycle 2 i had my hair cut shorter. A bit shorter than a bob but not too short. I previously had longish hair for years.
I had cycle 3 on 23rd oct. No further hair loss which whilst i dont understand im obviously very pleased about.
I do put aloe vera gel on my face every day. Maybe the nutrients are helping??
If things change i have bought two lovely pull on hats from a company called
... back later with name... i need to look it up but dont want to lose this message
Greetings Sister/warrior There are actually eyebrow wigs available online that are re-usable. There are also eyebrow pencils, stencils, and stamps. I have learned to put eyelash strips on from a friend who works in theater. She taught me how to put eyelash strips on my eyelids, just above my lash line so that I can save my real lashes. There are other times when I use the beauty supply store purchased weaker glue for strip lashes that glue onto my natural lashes. For long term lash strips. you can use the medical grade glue hospitals use to seal cuts. which you can purchase in pharmacy chain stores , Don't put this medical grade glue on your actual lashes, but do put it on your eyelids just above your natural lashes.I wear these when I have to attend funerals, and old school dance parties.. Avoid getting the hospital grade glue , or the beauty supply store glue in your eyes. Also don't buy human hair, or mink lashes, which will wilt, and never regain there curl shape after getting wet. Instead buy a good reusable plastic strip that can survive on your lids for a few days with the hospital grade glue, even if they get wet. Also buy a 5-10 X's magnification mirror to put your eyelash strips on. I don't go out with out my lashes, even to sporting events. Yessssssssss I am also thanking God for beauty supply stores that help us gals/divas look our best. I know God could care less about our exterior bodies, but for most women when we look good, we feel good. I hope/pray these suggestions will have you feeling good today and everyday subsequently Amen. God bless you. XoXoXoXoXo
These suggestions are so helpful. Thanks
Great advice for those who have lost their lashes ! I’m on ibrance ( not had chemo ) and mine are fine but still there , so mascara works well on mine when I go out anywhere . X
Sister/warrior I would have to curl my natural lashes, and then I would have to put on 3-4 applications of mascara, and wait for each application to dry. This is too time consuming for me. My re-usable lash strips go on in 60 seconds. I do use waterproof mascara for my lower lashes, and to line my lower eyelids, to get a slight cat eye extension at my outer eye corners. XoXoXo
Hi
I started chemo in Jan and lost all hair pretty quick. Cancer care gave me three short wigs for free. Then I bought some from Paula Young site for like $59.00 they looked more like my own hair. I switch them out if one is drying but they look real. My kids forget they are wigs now. The eyebrows I drew on with eye shadow. The cancer care showed me how to put some black shadow as eye liner above lashes and it did look ok. I was not good putting on fake eyelashes. My granddaughter tried to show me but I could not get it. I am off chemo now and my hair is about an inch long so I will still wear wigs for awhile. Not as bad as I thought. Kind of nice just picking your style for the day and putting it on. I did use itstay body roll on glue. Just put it around the hair line and wig stays in place all day.
Good luck I hope you do well on chemo.
I wore my bald head proudly. I would wear pretty scarves if it was cold out. I had a wig but hated it. Thought it looked unnatural. It is strange to stand in front of the mirror with shaving cream and shave your head. I didn't like the stubble. It didn't take long for it to grow out.
Try not to stress over it
