Isn't nature grand? Although I was born and raised and spent most of my life in NYC and surrounding boroughs, I can't see living there now. I feel so much calmer in the country. I love beaches, lakes, mountains. Do miss the food in NYC.

I know what you mean. I was eight when we moved from the city to the country. I spent the rest of my childhood outdoors discovering the wonders of nature. Enjoy the time off work...have you decided to retire next year? I hope you find the perfect retirement friendly area. ❤️❤️❤️

In two weeks my husband and I are going to look at places along the Delaware shore. I won't be far from the NY area, I want to be close to the beach, downsize, and have a community pool. One level. Along with this, I have to meet with SS to see how to get my drugs paid for, as I will not retire with any health benefits. Sometimes I think I'm foolish for looking for a "retirement" place, and this disease may retire me first, but practically, NJ property tax is crazy and I need a lower maintenance home. My property tax in Delaware will be about what it costs me to have our lawn mowed and trees trimmed!!! And no sales tax. Seems like everyone is fleeing the Northeast!
