Spring is here , hurrah

Planted these with my 2 year old grandson. Got up this morning and Spring has arrived to the North of England.

I don’t know if anyone else feels the same but since being diagnosed my gardens are a major part of my life. The number of times I have planted bulbs, plants etc and prayed to be here to see the flowers.

Have a lovely day wherever you are I hope the Sun is shining for you .

Lovely spring flowers.

I also find gardening very therapeutic….and often think the same things when planting something new.

We will be moving house quite soon (hopefully) when it’s finished being built, and I’ll have to start over again with the garden….planning to be more selective this time….May be even have a limited colour palette.…but at the same time I wonder if I’ll get to see the new one mature and for the trees to be full grown etc.

Wish I could say the same as you about spring here…it is unusually cold in Cyprus now. The UK is warmer I think, as the houses here mostly don’t have central heating and focus more on cooling mechanisms, it seems even colder indoors.

I’m sitting with the A/C whacked up to full heat mode, dreaming of making a huge batch of soup when my grocery delivery arrives. Hooray for online supermarket shopping!!

Happy planting to you!

Spring is my favourite season!

Best wishes

Zoe

Thanks for sharing, Debra. Spring is still a month away in Saskatchewan, but your lovely plantings help me look forward to it!

Awww! What lovely memories for your grandson too! I’ve had that same feeling when I planted some daffodil bulbs two years ago. They blossomed for the whole five weeks I was at home (in the south east). Every time I looked out my kitchen window they made me smile - it’s the little things that bring so much joy! 💐

Yes I love to see the signs of spring. I planted carrots, beetroot and parsnips in my veg plot Sunday. As I'm off to Scotland again Friday I guessed they can look after themselves. I have plans to start a bit of gardening at my partner's croft, a herb garden is my first plan! When I was first diagnosed it was just as the first lockdown started, I spent most of my time in the garden and hosted my friends for tea when it was allowed. Gardening always gives you something to look forward to. When I had my first tumour all those years ago, I used to go to sleep dreaming of seeing the daffodils the next spring. It helped to keep me going! Carolyn x

Enjoy, I love Amsterdam. Have been lots of times. The canals, the art, the gardens, quirky markets, just so much to see!

Your blooms are lovely. Mother Nature has a warped sense of humor here in east Tennessee. Friday was 70 degrees, bright sunshine and jonquils were in full bloom. Friday night we had 4+ inches of snow (more than rest of winter totaled) and high Saturday was 31 degrees. Back to 60s/70s this week but damage has been done. 😔 Manon

Beautiful DebbieI have moved house and my garden isn’t going to be ready for veg until next year. I will have to make do with toms in the conservatory.

I can’t grow flowers to save my life so I will enjoy yours

Thank you for your photo. It's been a long cold winter. Spring sneaking in this week in Connecticut. High Temps in the 50's to 60's. Cooler where I live by the shore, but I love Spring!
