I hope life is treating you all kindly. I just wanted to post this as it makes me smile. Hope it does the same for you.
I have been poorly from taking the new meds. On the road to recovery I hope. I will find out next Friday so will post more then. I’m on a break from Everolimus and I feel so different.
Daffs and crocus leaves pushing through in my garden. Been eating the frozen berries from last summer's harvest, looking forward to spring.Blessings to all of you, hope you are feeling well. xx
I hope you feel better soon. I been through some trials around Christmas and ended up with a pacemaker insertion. I hate this new med affinitor and aromasin but we will see. It was started at a low dose 1/2 of what the onc at M D Anderson wanted. Keep me posted about your progress. What meds are you on? Take care 🙏✝️🌹
Hope your Pacemaker has helped. I’m on Everolimus 10mg and Exemestane. I’m finding them so difficult to stomach. Hope you have more joy with yours. Best wishesCheryl
I was started on 7.5 affinitor but it was awful but it lowered my tumor marker 6 points in a month but I’m a diabetic and since the pacer episode he lowered it to 5 mg. We will see-all I can say is everything tastes terrible . Good luck but I will give it 3 months then change. ❤️
I agree about food. All my favourite things taste either bitter or of iron. I can’t even drink my favourite Assam tea. I have Spiced Chai tea but that can upset my stomach. Some days I can’t be bothered with food but hubby make sure a plate of something is put in front of me. I love tomato based sauces but they taste bitter. All the hospital say is suck an unsweetened sweet. Mmmmmm……not my idea of a good diet. Take great care. I was stable in November on the 10mg but it certainly is to higher dose for me. I shall see what the Oncologist prescribes on Friday when I see him for my follow up. Take care
Yes I wish for my favorite food to taste good again. So far I’ve only lost a few pounds so I guess my appetite is there. All of this is a bitch but we are alive!! I am grateful and hope this med will keep it at bay. Take care and be strong as we know we are..❤️🌹
I hope it is working with only half the dose.its been hard with this med sometimes nauseous and idk just don’t trust it. We will find out in April. I wish you well too-take care🌹
Cheryl, your photo did make me smile. Needed that today! Grey and very cold here. Covid numbers up so my daughter has banned me from going out. She drives me usually on Saturday for errands. Feel crazy stuck in the house! I hate winter. Want to move back to California or Florida!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful flowers. Spring is a distant hope here in New England but my daffodils are sprouting in my garden. I hope you soon adjust to your new meds.
Thanks again for the lovely flowers and the girl beside them. Certainly made me smile,I always figure if the medicine is bad it is because it is working. Here's hoping.
So good to see your name pop up here and the photo is lovely. Days are getting longer (slowly) and my jonquils have buds. In Chattanooga last week and saw actual blooms in a protected area. I wanted to dance in the street. I love springtime so much!!!
Cheryl thanks for sharing the lovely flowers. 😊 I’m on the same meds with some side effects too but doing okay (taste, tummy and nail issues mainly). I do hope you feel better soon and Friday goes well. 🤞
Dear Flower FairyOnce again, you put smiles on our faces even though you are suffering. I am so sorry for your pain. I have been in a blue funk for weeks because of so many of my family and friends dying and of a desperate illness of a dear friend. I am helping out a little. That makes me feel somewhat useful and somewhat better. As soon as the lymphedema treatments end, I hope to get into my camper and head south, perhaps all the way to the Keys. The trouble is that the new treatment of Faslodex takes away all my energy. I just want to lie in bed. when I don't have to go to the hospital, the doctor or to some other thing.
