Hey, what chemo is it? Good luck to you! I have to choose between fulvestrant and xeloda Tuesday. Leaning towards xeloda.

She is doing Taxol and I will take compazine the day before so I don't get nauseous. Everything makes me nauseous.

Best wishes. I was not able to take taxol years ago (allergic) and was given taxotere instead. Dr said it was the synthetic for taxol. I had already done adromycin and cytoxin before starting the taxotere every 3 weeks. The taxotere was much easier.

Ask your dr about emend for the nausea it works great. I used it with all my chemo and never got nauseous, and I have a very sensitive stomach. I even ask for an emend before any surgery now.

I think there are different forms of the Taxol, I guess they all do the same thing. She gave me Dexamethasone, I am to take 5 the night before treatment. It is a steroid and will help with nausea. Also gave me compazine for every 6 hours. I get nauseous very easy.

Did you go into remission after the chemo? That is what I am hoping for.i never heard of emend will check into it.

Hi,

I did those chemo treatments with the initial Dx in 2003. Then no signs of BC until 2016 when it showed up in bone and lymph nodes. The amend is great only took 3 pills each cycle. 1 an hour before and then one a day for 2 days no nausea at all with it. I even ask for it now before anytime they need to put me under, otherwise I wake up nauseous. Some Drs wait to see if you really need it, but mine said he does it from the start.

I took arimidex again for 2 years in 2016, but am now on faslodex and xgeva since January and ibrance since April. Last scan showed "partial response" and will have another PET scan in January.

Everything crossed your nausea either doesn’t happen or your meds help you tolerate the treatment well.
