I am going to start Doxil for mbc. So far i have been on letrozole, xeloda, ibrance etc. Nothing has worked.
Before i start Doxil I wanted to learn about side effects such as nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath. Basically anything you’ve experienced while on it.
Thanks bunches!!!

how is the doxil? i think i have new lumps now on xeloda after just 7 months...soooo bummed! my dr said "if the scans show no progression, we'll stay on xeloda"...easy for her to say - she doesn't have new weird breast lumps! lol. lmk how you find it. i too did ibrance, letrozole, azd5363 at dana farber with olaparib... and then xeloda. sort of stressing since this is now the 4th switch in 18 months! i hope my onc has another 20 tricks up her sleeve...
Im sorry you too have been on so many different treatments. I didn’t get to start Doxil because my recent scan showed more tumors plus fluid in my lung. I had to skip chemo for a trip to operating room. They got the fluid out but i am still having issues breathing. It’s possible tumors are growing and blocking airway. I go for my first round of Doxil on Wednesday. I will let you know how that goes. Stay strong and don’t give up!
right back at you! we sure are warriors. no one has any clue... freaking crap cancer. keep in touch. my onc is so casual about the lumps - she said "i don't care about little breast lumps if the disease is stable or going away in the colon and bladder"... so if she isn't up at night worrying, then neither am i. i will say an intention for you wednesday! my dr said it is super easy as far as chemo and no hair loss!! but i kind of like my xeloda!! hugs and happy thanksgiving. and we can be grateful despite that crappy hand we've been dealt.
Thank you Kit! Im so glad you’re another positive soul 😊. We have been dealt a tough hand but we are tough too! We definitely are warriors!!!
Have a great Thanksgiving. I will be giving thanks for being alive and for the many treatment options available today. Eat, drink and enjoy the Holiday! Talk soon xoxo
