Severe canker sores with Ibrance

I’ve tried almost every over-the-counter and dexamethasone and magic mouse any other ideas? It really is difficult to go back-and-forth on the cycles of Ibrance. Anybody trying a lower dosage or an alternate medicine or anything else?

I was only on 75 mg and didn’t have that issue. I’m surprised the dexamethasone mouth was didn’t work. Maybe you do need a lower dose. Canker sores are awful. I did get this stuff for another treatment that if you can reach them easily and you don’t have a Ton it’s a dental paste

I had my dentist call it in. Works really well if you don’t have an entire mouthful. Hope this helps. Hugs. 😊

I take a L Lysine daily. When they get really bad I rinse out my mouth with coconut oil. This information was from the health food store, not the doctors. It really does seem to help. I am on 75 mg of Ibrance. Now I have to take it every other day because of my counts.

I’m at 125 mg 21 days on 7 off. Were you always on 75 mg or did they dose you down

Are you still on Ibrance and 125mg?

Hi, Cocorei!

Here is my morning and evening regimen if I feel any sign of soreness in my mouth:

1. Rinse with Plax for 30 seconds: amazon.com/gp/product/B015M...

2. Brush teeth for 2 minutes with Arm & Hammer PeroxiCare toothpaste: amazon.com/Arm-Hammer-Perox...

3. Follow up rinse for 30 seconds with Listerine Zero Alcohol mouthwash: amazon.com/gp/product/B012O...

Hope you find this helpful! It is my go to regimen; have had no problem with mouth sores for 8 months.

XO Linda

Ask your doctor about Gelclair. It’s new and expensive but the company offers assistance. I didn’t pay anything for my medicine. It really works and fast! It’s the only thing that works for my canker sores.

I’m having problems with canker sores and other mouth sores with ibrance. I was just taken off the 100 dose for the next week and more blood tests next week to see if they will lower to the 75 mg dose. So I’ve been off the meds more than I’ve been on, which worries me. Glad to hear about some remedies others have used.

I just had the first really bad sore. It’s taken 3 weeks to heal, and I’ve been told to delay starting this cycle of Ibrance til Friday, to be sure it’s healed. The mouthwash worked for the pain to a point. I’m going to try your patch if I get another. Thanks
