I had my heart attack in June. It was a shock. After having a Stent fitted I came home and now on lots of medication. I am struggling with stomach pain. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar? It could be a side effect of medication..or chronic indigestion. I had this checked out at the hospital it is not the heart.

I had a HA 7 weeks and stents fitted 6 weeks ago, it's only in the last 10 days that the stomach and indigestion pains have got better, they are still there but no where near as bad.A week after my angioplasty I spoke to my Dr about the pains and he doubled my Omeprazole, I was taking 20mg once a day.....the doubling didn't make a lot of difference even after a couple of weeks.
I then spoke to my cardiologist and he took me off Omeprazole and put me on 30mg of Lansoprazole twice a day.
I'm going to "grin and bear" it now until I see the cardiologist in 8 weeks time as the medics keep on telling me that I'm on the "perfect cocktail of medication".
Hi John Thanks for that information. I am on Lansoprazole once a day at the moment. The pain keeps me awake all night. So it is becoming unbearable. I am having a consult with my GP on Thursday. So I am hoping to find a solution. I have been researching and don't know if I give up drinking coffee, alcohol, plus losing weight if this will also help. Time will tell.
