Has anyone here tried compression stockings?

It works great for many, so the question is " has everyone (anyone) tried them and if so can they report here on the success or failure of such treatment?

I have not tried them as such, but I get great relief from tubular elastic bandages, so I think I may well get some, only problem is I need them for my arms too!

It is amazing the relief from the paIn!

failed for me, irritated the hell out of my legs, and got a quite nasty rash

I havent tried compression stockings, but tried the tubular elastic bandages which are used for sports injury. They worked for a while, the tightness seemed to help. Tried them recently and nothing.

So as always with whatever anyone else tries, it can be hit or miss for you.

I wore them for a while for another ailment...leg ulcer, but they made no diffence to my rls.

Couldn't get them off quick enough. But also I hate wearing ordinary tights/stockings.

hate tight things on my legs. hated them. that pretty much sums it up, and they made my RLS worse. I have to wear very loose clothing, so nothing rubs on my legs. See the other compression stocking question that has about 40 answers on it "compression stockings???????" :o)

Hello, i have tried compression Sport stocking their normally used for running in cold,

Weather, They are not as tight as normal medical stocking + They have given me some,

Relif from my RLS. I only really use them if i'm really having a bad night + I've taken,

ALL My RLS Meds + still the RLS Hasnt quite gone away + the sport stocking then,

Do really help my RLS + i get some sleep I'm sure i would not get if i didnt wear them!.
