Does anyone else think it would be a help if when asking questions where you are living could be included. Their is a very big difference in the treatment available in the USA/Canada/UK. Just a thought. Thank you all for your comments they have helped me far more than my GP has.

Where is everybody
I am sure most wouldnt mind just putting at the end of their post the country they live in. It would probably be helpful, as you say, medications can vary in different parts of the world, Some names of med. are called by a different name too.
I agree, this site has helped me more than my GP ever could !!
I am sure this would be a great help as some answers puzzle me and I realise it could be because outside of UK.
I have said in almost every post that I am from the US just to ,make sure. Good idea, Elisse, to put our country by our names. Don't think there are too many people here from my side of the pond. I try to remember to say where I am from. :o)
Donna/USA
Thanks all, I think it would help us all so here we go:- Lynda from South Wales UK
If you set a location in your profile, then when you hit on the name of anyone posting a comment you then get their location. Then you will not have to put where you come from!!
I must say the thought has crossed my mind before now, being curious about where people were coming from, specially when medication differs so much. Well, I am in south Hertfordshire.uk
Hi cefndaniel, I am also from South Wales and I have no problem getting any medication for my RLS. My doctor is really very good and will try anything to help. Have you only tried Ropinrole? I also think putting where you live is easier than having to look it up.
Margaret/Cardiff
Hi Margaret I am in Gower and the only meds that Swansea health board will allow for RLS is Ropinerole. I took some Tremadol given for a totally unrelated problem at the beginning of the year and had a wonderful nights sleep, first in 7 years. Thought it a 'fluke' but decided to try it again a week later same thing I slept. I need a drug 'holiday' from the Ropinerole but my GP will not/cannot prescibe anything else so have been gathering info and swapping Tremadol for Ropinerole very slowly and am now taking 1mg Ropinerole an hour before bed with a Tremadol and a tremadol about 4pm in the afternoon. Slleping better and can sit down and relax some of the evening without my legs walking the walls without me. How bad are your legs this is an awful disease that so few take seriously.
Thanks for your reply Lynda??
Everybody can probably figure out that those of us who are rejoicing over the re-release of the Neupro patch are from the US!!! Another clue is that we "realize" and you "realise". I'm getting an education on the differences in linguistics from this site If geographic location made an improvement in RLS I would be outta here in a heartbeat!
Cathy in Detroit, MI USA
Hi, Cathy, i know you all have been waiting a very long time to get the patch re-released, in the States. And you all have the benefit of not having to refridgerate it. We in the UK, still have to do that...
Yep, just little changes in letters in words but they still mean the same thing.
I have been with support groups from the US for a long time now, and i find i am starting to use some american words.!!
