Anyone else had this problem? I use the Suboxone buprenorphine strips that dissolve under your tongue. I never noticed any dry mouth before, but I’ve read that the dry mouth caused by suboxone can cause oral thrush. I’ve had a case of it for the last 3 weeks, and I’m having trouble getting rid of it, despite using fluconazole, the most recommended anti-fungal. I don’t have any of the typical causes for thrush - dentures, antibiotics, etc. So it must be the suboxone. I guess I just need to sip a lot of water for a while after dosing. Or gum, or lozenges, or ?? Any other suggestions?
Thanks. Merry Christmas to all the great people here!!

Dry mouth is common with Buprenorphine and my theory is that it causes the tooth decay reported by the FDA.Chewing gum helps. And I use biotene toothpaste and mouth sprays to help. Have a spray ready at night when the dry mouth is worse.
I can't help with buprenorphine as I never got around to trying it. I have tried about everything else, DA's, opiates, other neurological meds....I've had RLS for over 30 years but recently the Prama*** began to augment. For the last couple weeks I've had nearly total relief with (along with the Prama) Magnesium supplements and a mild THC edible. Hopefully this combo will provide some lasting relief.
The augmentation unfortunately will soon peek through. You really need to get off the pramipexole as you were advised 3 months ago. Then maybe all you will need is the magnesium and THC.
