Iron Bisglycinate

I have been reading the posts about Iron Bisglycinate for a while now and thought that is wasn't for me because I have had bad reactions to iron before and I had a transfusion of iron a couple years ago and my ferritin is still over 200. But, because of the urging on here, I tried it and it is amazing for me. I take 50 with Vit C at night as recommended although I have been taking it every night since when I tried a night off, my symptoms returned . I have now been sleeping up to 6 hours a night with no RLS. Plus going back to sleep for a couple more hours in the early morning. Previously, even with 10 mg of methadone, I would wake up every two hours of so and then have to get out of bed at about 6 because my legs were moving too much to sleep any more. I also would have to use my massager on my legs in the middle of the night to calm them down and sometimes also some cupping to stretch the fascia in my legs. NO MORE! I feel much better in the morning and way less groggy. And my occasional evening RLS has disappeared. Thank you, this really works for me.

Brilliant news. It definitely works for many people so well worth trying.

A night without iron is a night WITH RLS. This is true for many of us. Congrats! Welcome to the Ironman Club.

Is this a prescribed medication or does it have to be bought by ourselves over the counter ?

Thank you for your message about the hematologist! I had to cut down on the iron due to stomach issues and then switched to Barimelts, but it isn't glycinate. It works okay but ordered the correct iron in gummies today. If this doesn't work, I'll try the hematologist!!!! I just had blood work which showed my autoimmune antibodies are quite high and I wonder if it affects the RLS. Anyway, thank you so much!!!!!
