Tramadol-Urgently needed advice

It is now nine months since I stopped taking premipexole and I am more-or-less getting by using Tramadol Slow release. It has not been easy but I am determined to beat this thing!

I take 400 Mg Tramadol slow release for my RLS. I have almost run out and it's a holiday weekend. I live in Canada and Tramadol is a very restricted drug. We do however have an over -the- counter medication called Mercyndol with codine which contain acetaminophan (325mg)and Codine (8mg) .

1)Can I substitute Mercyndol for Tramadol?

2) How many Mercyndol is equivalent to 400mg Tramadol?

3) Can I mix tramadol with Mercyndol? (eg200 mgTramadol +? Mercyndol)

Dear Sue,

I am so sorry to sound the alarm then drop out of contact. I have been away in Vancouver taking care of my wife who had surgery for cancer. I also ended up running out of Tramadol over the long weekend . It has been a difficult time and I apologize to you and the kind people who responded to my questions. I will do as you suggest and get back to you.
