My original post was healthunlocked.com/rlsuk/po...
If you remember I had had a test for iron done on 30th May (ferritin only) which came back as
Serum ferritin level 15 ng/mL [10.0 - 180.0]
So I requested and got another test for Iron, (this time the full range as recommended by you guys).
This time it is (test done on 4th July)
Serum ferritin level 30 ng/mL [10.0 - 180.0] (so that has doubled).
and
TRANSFERRIN SATURATION 27 %
UNBOUND IBC 40 u/L [23.0 - 65.0]
IRON (BRI) 15.1 umol/L [10.7 - 32.2]
TOTAL IBC (CALCULATED) 55 umol/L
I would love any feedback on these levels. I have been taking Iron Bisglycinate 42mg x 2 every other day. The levodopa that i take at night for Parkinson's is currently controlling RLS, hoping when i get Iron back up i will not need the Parkinson meds overnight.
Thanks so much in advance for any help.
