I'm having some stomach issues investigated and as a starting point, my GP offered me a script for a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI). I recalled that these can aggravate RLS and so i asked for an alternative.
She wrote a script for Famotidine which i read now is another type of antacid (a H2Aa) which can also aggravate RLS.
Has anyone used an antacid type medication (or similar) that hasn't aggravated their RLS?
Gaviscon, Andrews Liver Salts. Also, consider buying a really good probiotic to improve your gut biome.Symprove is expensive, but it definitely helps stomach issues like heartburn, indigestion and IBS.
You could try it for a few months. It's £80 a month, but if you have an annual subscription, it goes down to £40 a month.
I recommend Gaviscon Advance, which is a different formula than regular Gaviscon. Regular Gaviscon contains an additive called edetate disodium (EDTA) which triggered my RLS.
