Iron patches

Hi, I remember reading that some of you use/ have used iron patches but have just searched posts and not come up with much. I’d be interested to hear what people use and how useful you find them. Thanks

There is a product known as PatchMD, available I believe on popular online stores.

I'm not recommending them however, I have no idea how effective they are.

PatchMD- they always have offers. They post cheaply and quickly to the UK from the USA.

I raised ferritin from 59 to 200 over 18 months using patch & ferrous bisglycinate pills EVERY OTHER NIGHT.

Mind you, didn’t make much difference for me as I’m clearly one of the 20% non responders.

Here's the link to PatchMD - I have not used them but took oral Ferrous Bisglycinate Chelate to help with my iron status. There are a lot of reviews on the PatchMD site...

I use liquid iron and it stains everything it touches, including teeth. It would seem to me that 1) getting the giant iron or ferrous molecule through the skin would difficult. 2) It would leave a stain.

But then I have never heard of it. I do know for iron to be effective, I need 325mg per day. That is awful high for a trans-dermal supplement.
