I had been taking Slow Fe ()45mg of iron) every other day for 4 weeks and it completely relieved my RLS symptoms. However, I developed diarrhea and had to stop the SlowFe and my RLS has returned.
Can someone recommend a gentler iron supplement?
Thank you

Many people from this forum use iron bisglycinate. It is available as 'gentle iron' from Holland & Barrett and I am sure there are other sources. Usually people get constipation from iron, thus if it persists, you may want to check with your gp.
I second the Holland and Barrett gentle iron. Take every other night at least 2 hours after food and milk products. Try and take with some vitamin c. Another gentle form of iron is spatone sachets. The come with apple juice. Very gentle on the stomach and you can usually get them from Tesco Vitamin isle or good pharmacies. All these can be bought when on offer at various times.
I use Nature's Bounty Bis-Glycinate Gentle Iron. Dr (Daniel) Amen's clinic makes one, too. I have not yet tried his. ( Dr Amen is a brain disorder specialist. His supplements are marketed under "Brain MD".)
Hi. I have also less RLS when I take iron, and like you I jhave had to find an alternative to tablets. I found that iron spray is the way to go, at least for me. It does not upset your digestive system in any way.
